Not a hotel just a pud with rooms at hotel prices. Very old and tired and in need of care and attention. In addition they do not provide hotel service, even simple thing like light bulbs needing changing seemed beyond them, Getting toilet tissue took repeated requests. The room was not serviced during our stay so in room tea facities... More

Great base to visit the attractions in Alnwick, friendly owner (new ownership) rooms were nice, breakfast was nice and the lady owner kindly got up a bit early for us. Parking at the rear, well worth the money.

On arrival at 3.30 pm was told they had no record of my booking! Showed email from Expedia confirming booking but they said all rooms (3) had been fully booked & paid for. Weekend ruined! Suggested to Expedia that hotel should be subject to the same terms and conditions as would have been applied to me had I cancelled the... More

stayed 3 nights at the Queens Head Hotel in the Harry Hotspur room, the pub has just 3 rooms, ours was room 1 with a double bed, liked the clean and spacious room with equally spacious bathroom, nicely decorated and furnished. Enjoyed drinks at the bar each evening, staff & locals very friendly, did not actually have an evening meal... More

This hotel was on the market square. However, the day we visited there were no markets. The hotel was very comfortable staff excellent and the meals were great. Breakfast was one of the best we have ever eaten.

We stayed in the lady Jane bray room last week .the room was large and well furnished ,and the bed was very comfortable . The room was very quiet and we slept well. The breakfast was certainly large and set you up for the day. Chrissy and the staff couldn't have been more helpful. The area has plenty to explore... More

Recently stayed in this Hotel and it was very nice. We had food on the evening we arrived, steak pie with a choice of mash and gravy. The rooms are big enough for 2 people and lots of luggage and the shower is very good. The staff/owner are very friendly as well. If you are passing through or looking for... More

Not the cleanest of rooms and in need of some TLC but then it is an old building and not pricey. Nice and handy centre of town location with very helpful staff and free Wi-Fi and a car park to the rear. Didn't have the breakfast and so can't comment in this department.

Stayed with my daughter in the twin Earl of Derwentwater room. We were shown to it by a very helpful and friendly young lady who was working behind the bar. The room was large and we were supplied with two soft white towels and toiletries. We both slept very well, as the beds were extremely comfortable. We went down for... More

Stayed here on our last night of our trip around Northumberland. Our room was large, very clean and had everything you needed. Best nights sleep we had. Staff were really friendly and helpful and was even willing to come in early to serve us an early breakfast. Breakfast was very good and great selection. Off street parking and central location...
