Philly was a perfect host, we were greeted with tea on the patio and cakes from the number one Mary Berry fan. The barn conversion is amazing with all mod cons such as under-floor heating, making it very comfortable for all weathers which we had during our stay. Furnishing throughout was very tasteful with plenty of interesting features. Everywhere was... More

My wife and I spent a night at Redfoot Lea en route north to Aberdeen, and were extremely impressed. Philly was the perfect hostess - friendly, attentive and helpful, and we were made to feel very welcome throughout our (regrettably brief) stay. The place itself was attractively furnished and spotlessly clean, our bedroom and bathroom were well appointed, with a... More

We stayed for 2 nights en route to a tour of Scotland and planned some wonderful walks in the area that are a must for anyone visiting the Northumberland coastline in the area. We really enjoyed our stay and felt thoroughly well looked after. The bed was very comfortable. Rooms were tastefully decorated. We received a very warm welcome of... More

Everything was perfect. beautiful site , grounds, beds, food, and the best hosts you could ask for. They went out of their way to make our stay one of the best in our memory. You must stay at Redfoot !

Redfoot Lea is in a beautiful and convenient location. Philly is a wonderful and welcoming host with lots of local knowledge to aid your stay. The room we stayed in was more than comfortable, I had the best nights sleep I've had in a long time! The homemade cakes were delicious and a very welcome addition to our stay!

We stayed at Redfoot Lea for 2 nights at the start of August. This B&B can only be described as FANTASTIC! The hosts - especially Philly - are wonderful and will do anything to ensure that your stay is as comfortable as it can be. The B&B has an incredibly homely feel to it, with access to both the gorgeous... More

Returned here after several years gap, and found it to be still just as good as we remembered it. Have recommended Philly to anyone going into the area as she is truly delightful as a hostess, and makes you feel at home form the moment you arrive. The food served at breakfast is first rate and would recommend the kippers!... More

We stayed here with another couple for two nights having previously stayed on our own some time ago. We were greeted like long lost friends by our lovely host. Provided with beers and glass of wine for the ladies to slake our travellers thirst. Rooms are lovely, clean, welcoming and comfortable as is the visitors lounge and breakfast area. Breakfast... We picked this spot because of very high ratings on this website. We were not disappointed. The accommodations could not have been nicer. Great breakfasts. However, the best part was our hostess, Philly and her husband. We were there to visit the town of Alnwick. The B&B is a distance out of town, but we knew that going in so... More

It is hard to fault Redfoot Lea - excellent hospitality with wonderful little touches that make your holiday. We were treated as family and nothing was to much trouble. Lots of tea and coffee with home made cake and biscuits plus other treats.
