This was the most amazing find, faultless in every way with every need catered for. The most attentive lovely hostess and we have sung your praises to everyone we meet. Will not hesitate to book again.

This is the second time we've stayed at Redfoot Lea, and it remains the best B&B we've ever stayed at - the Gold Standard against which all else is rated! Always made to feel so welcome, easy to relax in the sitting room, great breakfast, and easy to get to.

Philly was so welcoming. Home made cakes & amazing breakfasts every day. We had 3 great nights there. It was our first visit to Northumberland & we were told great places to visit & eat out. Thank you again to a great host. We will be back to stay & explore more of this beautiful area. Simon & Nicola.

We have just returned from a two night stay at Redfoot Lea, even after reading the reviews on Trip Advisor nothing can compare to the experience. We can honestly say that after many years of B&B all over the UK nothing compares to the welcome, cleanliness, food, room, hospitality, facilities....... need I go on? As other customers have said, from... More

I booked a few nights in the cottage based on previous trip advisor reviews and was not disappointed. This is one of the most well equipped self catering properties I have ever stayed in. All previous reviews are spot on - the cottage is delightful in so many ways. Didn't want to get out of bed, or the shower or... More

We have only stayed for a night , but the service was absolutely divine, the house has a very nice and luxury touch . The hostess was amazing and welcomed us with a glass of wine and some small entrees, she also gave us information of local restaurants for us to dine that night. The room we stayed in was... More

What a wonderful place to stay! Bucklaw cottage is so welcoming - it wraps itself around you - makes you feel like home from home. We could mention the fantastic kitchen, great bathroom, really comfy bed, underfloor heating, fresh flowers, welcome box and not forgetting a truly lovely host - but why not try it for yourself - you won't... We have just returned from a lovely stay at Bucklaw Cottage. Such an excellent choice for a great Valentines 3 night break. Bucklaw cottage is beautiful, large airy rooms with a seaside theme throughout. It had everything that a 5* self catering stay should have, except we got the added extra of such a lovely host in Philly Bell. Lots... More

a really lovely stay - great food, great welcome with some lovely extra touches - glass of wine, slice of cake, advice on where to eat and where to walk. Nothing is too much trouble and a perfect balance of helpfulness and hospitality without being intrusive.
