We stayed for two nights and found the service excellent. On three separate occasions different staff went out of their way to help make our stay even better. The rooms are spacious and comfortable and the location for Alnwick good. The food is ok and there were some good wines. When we stayed there was a £49.95 dinner, bed and... More

We stopped at the Hog's Head for one night. Good points: -Easy to find, with ample parking, although a couple of miles from the centre of Alnwick. -Lovely new building, good design with excellent maintenance inside and out. -Really good well equipped rooms for what is essentially a super budget hotel. -One member of staff - receptionist/bar person who was... Situated just off the A1 the Hoggs Head Inn is a cut above the usual travel hotel chains. It is well positioned to use as a base for exploring Alnwick with it's beautiful gardens and iconic castle. A good selection of pub food. We didn't experience any of the noise issues some other reviewers have noted but we were staying... More

Thank you very much for your review - and for the five stars too! We're not altogether a chain, but part of a small family of privately owned inns - we're a happy family! Come to stay again with us soon! More

Stayed at the Hogs Head on Weds 3rd December and this was fourth stay during the last two years. I was staying with a group of ten and we used the meeting room for two days. the meeting room was a good size - I would say very comfortable for up to 15 people. Plenty of room with a good... More

Great location for exploring the North of England with easy access to Alnwick and Hadrian's Wall. Great pub food served during the day & evening with a nice selection of ales, beers and spirits. Stayed overnight after friends wedding and the other wedding party who were also in the hotel were very rowdy (running up and down corridors, sleeping in... More

Thanks for the review and apart from the rowdy neighbours - we are pleased you enjoyed your stay. Did you report the issue to a duty manager? We would most certainly have acted upon this on the rare occasion when guests are not considerate towards fellow visitors. More

The rooms are very roomy with a larger than normal double bed ! all the mod cons you need could not fault the rooms or hotel. The staff are very friendlly and helpfull. We had an evening meal which was fine along with drinks as we decided to stay at the hotel.

Newly built, this hotel is worth a look. The rooms are larger than you would expect. Very comfortable, free wi-fi and friendly staff. The food was very tasty with good size portions. I would highly recommend The Hogs Head.
