Visited on our way back from Alnwick - lots of choice of food and drinks. Really clean and lots of seating - would definitely visit again. Good value and worth the small drive out of Alnwick to visit.

This new(ish) 53 room hotel is situated right by the A1 at Alnwick. Nice Big Rooms and decent Pub Food. A Good Breakfast and Free Wi-Fi. I would use it again for my travels if I was in the area. Bottled Beer was a bit expensive though.

We had a lovely stay at the Hog's Head and had a super breakfast. I didn't have steak pie at lunch time the previous day because staff said it would take take 20 minutes. I chose fish instead - it only took 25 minutes to deliver! The food was excellent. In the evening I did try the steak pie which... More

Spent six nights here at the start of my two weeks holiday. Easy access to the A1 however I could not hear any traffic noise. Check in was quick and easy and the room comfortable and spacious, and had everything needed, including an iron and ironing board and biscuits on the hospitality tray. WIFI was available in my room and... More

Late afternoon bowl of mussels to share, enjoyed nice company, steaks were a bit expensive. Wasn't busy!!! Great play area if you have kids. Mussels were tasty if little gritty, plenty parking space and just of the A1, handy!!

4 of us recently stayed at Zthe Hogs Head Inn during May 2015. The staff were fabulous and very friendly. They gave helpful tips on local info and even gave us print outs etc when we wanted more detailed info on local amenities. The rooms were large and very modern, excellent shower / bathrooms and very comfortable beds. They even... More

Thank you very much for your review - we're glad the lads enjoyed their golfing jolly! We're more than happy to provide details about local taxi firms - there are plenty of local firms operating in Alnwick. Hope to welcome you for a return tour! More

Stayed here for 2 nights at end of May. 5 of us girls stayed in a family room on the first night (Queen size bed, 2 singles and a double sofa bed). Very spacious & comfy beds. Take ear plugs with you as you can hear the A1 traffic. I stayed in a double room with my husband the following... More

Thank you very much indeed for taking the time to leave a review. We're glad you all enjoyed your stay, which would have been great value! Our prices are in line with other eateries locally but more so they reflect quality home cooked food that is made fresh to order in a cracking environment. We hope you will return to... More

Stayed here for four nights over the weekend (attending a wedding at Tree House). We found the service excellent, staff very friendly and welcoming. Room and bathroom good size. Bed huge and beautifully comfortable. Restaurant food tasty and good variety. No problems with noise from the A1. Would recommend this hotel as good location for exploring and a warm welcome.

This is a modern friendly hotel with good facilities which include a nice pub and restaurant with excellent parking. Located right next to the A1 road noise concerned me with the window open, but was not a problem, slept very well in a large comfy bed. The rooms are spacious and well equipped, only issue for me was that the... More

We have stayed here 3 times most recently in May. The rooms are spacious and clean. The staff are always friendly. We have eaten dinner in the hotel which was fine but each time breakfast is very disappointing. It would be good to see better quality produce available. Even the baked goods and bread available for toast are of the... More

That's a shame to hear - our breakfasts - which are complimentary - receive rave reviews, as TripAdvisor usually shows. We will feed back your comments, of course. We hope you return and enjoy the breakfast other reviewers reap praise upon. More
