I was a bit disapointed as the room we got was nothing like advertised, I know my husband booked it only because of the look of the room, it's his first time buying this sort of thing from the internet. Dont get me wrong there was nothing wrong with the room . The breakfast was out of this world there... More

Took up the winter offer of dinner, bed, breakfast and bottle of prosecco in room to treat the wife in celebration of our 16th wedding anniversary - what a good choice. Great value for money and the evening meal in Hardy's Bistro in hotel was excellent and tasty. Staff were friendly and very informative and friendly. The offer is still... More

Visiting the area with family, had afternoon tea which was lovely, service was very good too, the lady that serve our tea was lovely and a real credit, she offered tips on local walks. Would happily return......maybe for an overnight stay too next time I'm in the area

This hotel is upgraded from a middle-of-the-road “Very Good” to Excellent by absolutely exceptional service. The outstanding example was on Saturday night with a wedding reception and band, quite loud even in our top-floor room. About 10 pm I rang reception to ask how late it would last. They said it should end at midnight but immediately offered to “lend”... More

We had another fantastic stay at the White Swan. Couldn't recommend this hotel and its staff highly enough. Food, staff and surroundings are second to none. Rooms are spacious and clean. There's a good selection for breakfast. The Olympic suite is simply stunning. We had our wedding here last year. The staff made sure are day was very special. They're... More

Loverly hotel , we had a superior room . Double bed seemed to be two beds pushed together but still very comfortable ,a couple of minor problems trim has lifted of the wardrobe and flushing the toilet had a special knack to it . But all in all happy with the room . The staff are extremely friendly and polite... More

Looks stunning from outside and has a beautiful entrance and reception but that's where it ends. The room was small and cold the bed was like sleeping on concrete and to my disgust there was public hair all over the bathroom floor, the cleaner needs sacking. To top the whole experience off we got a parking ticket for parking directly... More

Prior to our stay, I was rather worried about what earlier reviews had said about The White Swan, so I was rather taken aback by how lovely and grand the hotel was when we walked in through the front door. The place has an air of understated grandeur, with a beautiful dining room (the interior taken from one of the... More

Was here for a week due to work its an old hotel so don't even try to compare with your modern new hotels. So yes the floor boards creak yes the room are weird shapes and yes it needs a bit tlc here and there. First off the key staff here that you see in no particular order. Keith the... More
