My husband and I stayed at the Birdsong B and B whilst attending a friends Wedding at nearby Elingham Hall. We live in Northumberland already so knew where it was located but still could not believe how close to the A1 it was as it was so peaceful. When we arrived we were greeted by Amanda who has a larger... More

Stayed in Haven room to enjoy the hot tub experience. Lovely room and beautifully decorated and wet room was very luxurious. It was a sunny weekend and the room gets the sun as does the decking where hot tub resides. Lovely slurping abit of fizz while relaxing in the bubbles. Had our first experience of a Nespresso machine which my... More

Me and my husband stayed here for our wedding anniversary. We stayed in The Haven room with the hot tub. The name says it all, its a little haven away from the hustle and bustle of every day life. So easy to get too as it is just off the A1 but you wouldn't be able to tell as you... More

Very easy to find and right off the main road. The room had lots of little details that make you feel well cared for. Breakfast is served in your room. It was not as large as some of the other places we stayed but more than adequate for us. The bathroom was great with a lovely tub, candles, lights on... More

The epitome of contemporary Bed & Breakfasting, no chintz in sight! This is the perfect place to get away from the world for a while, we booked it for exactly that reason. Checked in frazzled and tired and checked out like new people! So many great things: - Owners are the definition of great customer service - Decor is lovely... More

We stayed at the Birdsong Cottage at the weekend and it was fantastic - we couldn't have asked for more. We stayed in the Swallows Rest room and it was ideal. We chose to stay at this cottage as we were at a wedding at Ellingham Hall. It was a great location off the A1. Although it's next to the... More

My wife and I have had a wonderful stay at birdsong cottage, Gary met us and couldn't have been more helpful, sadly we missed meeting amanda as she was lovely to speak to on the phone. A really clean and well laid out room with a very comfortable bed but the highlight was definitely the hot tub and we would... More

Clean, tidy and nothing was too much trouble. A very special place stay. Lots of little extras that make it stand out from all the rest . Breakfast is served in your room which adds to the romance. A quiet location.

We stayed there in June of this year and we were most impressed. Amanda was an excellent host, very friendly and helpful. The room was beautiful and very clean. The facilities were excellent within the room. The room also had a nice decked balcony with beautiful views but also afforded some privacy. Alongside that a fantastic hot tub. The pastries... More

What an absolute pleasure birdsong cottage is! We had arrived a few weeks later than our originally planned, due to an outstanding repair at home. Amanda totally understood the need to re-arrange and this was not a problem. Upon arrival, we had a lovely welcome and it was clear no request would be too much for our hosts. The 'swallows... More
