Stayed here for four nights in June with two friends while walking the Northumberland Coast Path. Ten minutes walk from the town centre and only five from Barter Books, one of the biggest best and quirkiest second hand bookshops in the country. Plenty of safe offstreet parking attached to the property. Host Arthur is friendly and attentive and hearty tasty... More

Lovely family bed and breakfast and a warm and welcoming place to stay. Near to Alnwick Gardens, Barter Bookshop which has a great cafe inside and an amazing amount of second hand books to buy, Alnwick is great place to visit and has something for everyone.

3rd visit and won't be our last. Great location, warm welcome and top class breakfast. Hospitality and housekeeping faultless. Ideal spot for exploring a seriously under-appreciated part of the country. If you want peaceful country lanes and outstanding coastal scenery then this is the place for you!

Just had an enjoyable two night stay with my mum & three children. The guest house is situated within walking distance of the castle & garden. It's just a few meters away from Barter Books. Arthur & Jane were the perfect hosts & wouldn't hesitate in recommending them.

Not widely advertised, this B and B was a great little find. Situated a 5 minute walk from the town centre and castle and gardens, it is an ideal base for a stay in Alnwick. Our hosts were very accommodating, breakfast was excellent and the room was spotless. Everything you needed was there, toiletries, plasters and anything else you might... More

very convenient for visiting Alnwick. Lovely breakfast and warm welcome from Arthur and Jane. Nice touches like fresh fruit to help yourself from the fruit bowl in the breakfast room and 'little extras' selection that you may have forgotten, outside the bedrooms rooms to help yourself.

We turned up on the door step with nowhere to stay, having tried a few more expensive places and couldn't believe our good fortune. Everything I'd expect from a good hotel except the cost. Wonderful friendly welcome and so many thoughtful touches like a small flask of fresh milk for our tea and coffee, complimentary biscuits and everything you could... More

We spent last week at Aydon House and couldn't have asked for better accommodation. Jane and Arthur were so welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. The rooms were clean, bright and beautifully warm, good value for money and the breakfast was lovely. We would recommend to anyone if they are in Alnwick and would definitely stay if ever up... We stayed at Aydon House for two nights at the end of July and would recommend it to anyone visiting the lovely town of Anwick.
