We spent two nites at this lovely b and b. We regret that it was not longer. Tom and Audrey were the perfect hosts. The inn was beautiful and tastefully decorated. It was obviously well maintained. The family room that we used was fabulous. Tom and Audrey added small touches to the rooms that really made our stay comfortable. Tom... more

Excellent location in Alnwick. Very quiet yet only 2 mins walk to town centre. Plenty of eating places recommended by Tom and Audrey, all were good. The facilities at Greycroft are excellent. Breakfast in the conservatory was an ideal start to the day. Would have no hesitation in returning or recommending to family and friends. more

We had a great 4 days staying with Tom and Audrey . We were made so welcome on arrival with a cuppa and a chat in their beautiful cottage garden before showing us to our comfortable room .Breakfast was excellent with something for all tastes . With their sense of humour and our Yorkshire banter we had many laughs together... more

Having been in the B&B business for sixteen years we knew from the very first contact that Tom & Audrey were going to be excellent host's. We and our five friends were not disappointed everything was perfect. Book well in advance the good words are spreading to all our other friends. The Bowes will not let you down and the... more

Audrey and Tom give hospitality their all, and Greycroft is certainly hospitable, from the unusual entrance (through the conservatory where you will admire the garden during breakfast), via the grand hall and stairs to your plush room which has all you'll need for a comfy stay. There's a cuppa on the way while you settle in so leave the bickies... more

An outstanding B&B. Delightful old house, beautifully and tastefully refurbished. Spotless and comfortable in a quiet cul-de-sac 2 mins from town centre. Welcomed by Tom and Audrey with tea in their pretty garden. Top of our list for the area. more

Greycroft was great :) Amazing welcome, mega-clean, great locally sourced breakfast. Your hosts Audrey and Tom are probably the friendliest people we have met running a B&B. Very caring and attentive. I am already recommending this to my family and friends. Do not hesitate to book - we loved it - as did our 10 year old twins. more

My husband and I have recently stayed in the Greycroft Guest House in Alnwick and we were delighted by the warm welcome from Tom and Audrey who work very hard to provide a very high standard accommodation. The "Red room" was wonderful. Very spacious, comfortable and was kept at an exceptionally high standard of cleanliness. Decor beautiful , room overlooking... more

My husband and I stayed for two nights, whilst travelling up to Edinburgh for a friend's birthday. The Red Room was lovely, beautifully decorated and furnished, with a very comfortable bed and large shower in the ensuite. The breakfast was great, especially the oak-smoked Craster kipper, and there was lots of choice of cereals, fruit etc. Tom and Audrey made... more

We stayed for a few nights as part of a UK tour. Having stayed in many B&B's we found Greycroft to be as good as any. The rooms were terrifically roomy and comfortable. Both the owners are good for a friendly chat and Tom cooks a great breakfast. There are few good restaurants in the village including an Italian place... more
