The worst hotel I have ever stayed in. The rooms are smelly, damp and straight out of the 70's. The carpet was wet and dirty, the bathroom dirty and covered in damp. Didnt stay to try breakfast the smell put me off eating.

A friend and I visited as a half-way point between where we both live for afternoon tea and a catch up. It looks beautiful, and we had afternoon tea on a very cosy sofa and were able to sit there undisturbed for hours! The afternoon tea looked beautiful, however the scones were rock hard, and served with what we think... More

This is a cheap hotel so maybe my expectations should have been lower. It was an emergency booking so choice was limited. Room 115... Hole in wall, dirty , tired , drawer in dressing table held shut by chair . Bathroom mouldy , This hotel is old and in need of serious spend to get it anywhere near an acceptable... More

We took my Mum, Uncle, Daughter and boyfriend there on Sunday for lunch, the service was brilliant and so was the food, thoroughly enjoyed our visit and we aim to go back again in September to try out the lunch time Buffet

Stayed at the Bridge for one night on a Friday. The woman on reception was lovely, so friendly and told us everything we wanted to know, asked how our journey was etc. She was also manning the bar but I didn't feel that I was waiting for a long time anywhere before being served. We got a room at the... More

The Bridge Hotel is well positioned to get away from the slog of driving the A14 Perhaps in need of a little TLC it offers comfortable rooms with good value for money food & drink Popular with the lunchtime locals The Bridge is a comfortable stop on the road to East Anglia

Booked this hotel as it was very close to a family celebration venue. Good value for money in this location (Travelodge cheaper but inconvenient for party). An old building with some peculiarities, but this is what you should expect from what was presumably built as a country pub and added rooms. Rooms on first floor and no lift so bear... More

We didn't get off to a great start so I'll begin with the bad bits. The place looked old and tired as we pulled up. Our first room had a wet patch on the bed covers and unwashed cups. The girl on reception quickly gave us another room, the shower room though was so small it was ridiculous, the basin... More

Stayed here as part of a canoe 2 river trip package. Annette the receptionist was one of the warmest people I have ever met, nothing was too much trouble. The rooms are spacious and well decorated. A negative is that it was an old building and the floors squeak with every step. But the food was good evening and at... More
