Fantastic old building but it needs some serious money spending on it. The once cream stairs carpet was an interesting shade of brown. Room was incredibly hot in summer because the heating was on constantly. When asked if the radiator in the room could be turned off I was told if the heating goes off so does the hot water.... more

I booked this hotel through a wesite with a picture of the hotel and a small write up saying that 'the hotel prides itself on its standards of cleanliness' and 'a reputation for providing a warm and friendly home from home atmosphere'.
