I like the steaks at the George. I know they serve all sort's of other dishes and I'm sure they're equally good but I always seem to come back to the steaks. The beers good and the serves and people are friendly. It's a good place to eat.

After turning up at another nearby restaurant that was fully booked we decided to give The George a try. What a surprise when we walked in, it was absolutely lovely and not just a standard pub that I was expecting. The restaurant area was very tastefully decorated and the bar had a warm homely feel. The food was the best... More

Although "The George" was very busy and booked up ,Maggie managed to fit 6 of us in for Lunch on Mother's Day .As usual ,she was most obliging and cheerful .There was no room in the Restaurant ,but we were made very welcome and comfortable in the Functions Room ,which was beautifully arranged and has its own bar .The service... This is a review of the pub/restaurant, not the hotel My wife and I popped in with our 1 year old for some lunch. Nice traditional bar room with a contrasting light airy dining room. Good pub lunch at a good price and they catered nicely for our daughter with a high chair. Service was friendly. We waited a while... More

Having driven past this place many times, we decided to pop in for lunch. The lunch menu is reasonable and we both had sausage, egg and chips. It was absolutely lovely! Proper sausages and all delicious and well cooked. The staff are nice and the service was good. We are keen to try the Sunday lunch, wish we lived nearer!

My wife and I decided to walk from our village (Crick) to Kilsby yesterday for a light bite, and a glass of wine, had a lovely chat with the owner, then we had a great brunch and 3 large glasses of wine (me) then depart for Crick, took quite a while longer to get back due to a slight stagger... Extremely good meal to be had at this pub just off the M1 end of Rugby.I recently had an excellent meal of fishcakes late at 9pm ,all fresh and home made top gourmet cuisine, would normally expect in top Michelin restaurant only.Very good value also. This great looking pub has a good location and nice atmosphere -well recommend a stop off... More

The ideal location of The George near Rugby and off the motorway makes it an ideal spot for those in the know to have a meal and stay if required. I cannot speak for the rooms but I am always consistently impressed by their food. They have a lovely bar menu in additikn to a slightly fancier restuarant style in... More

My twin and I have just celebrated reaching 70, with a lunch for 12 of our family at the George. As always, the food was perfect, all meals coming in quick succession and hot too. The first time I'd been since the redecoration..very tasteful and still have kept the features in the room. After several changes to our seating requests, they... More

Met a friend there for a week day lunch, we were surprised how busy it was, but plenty of room in the bar. Did feel it lacked a bit of atmosphere but every thing was nice and clean. Good menu and food at a reasonable price. Good coffee.
