We stayed here or rather didn't stay here on 1st November 2008. We had a wedding to go to in the village and when I did the research this was the only place with accomodation in the village. I checked the website and it only gives you a picture of the outside unfortunately. I am a regular hotel stayer and I like to see pictures of the bedroom to check that it is ok. This time I had to take a chance as it was the only place to stay.
We arrived about 12.00pm and we parked in the car park which is in front of the building where the rooms are, we noticed an old single mattress propped up outside one of the rooms and the windows of the rooms looked a bit grubby, at this point my heart sank and I knew it was not going to be good.
We went into the pub to get our key, the pub didn't look very clean either, at this point I just kept telling myself it was only for one night and everything would be ok. The landlord said that he was just going to check the room as the one we were... more
