My wife and I went there for a pub lunch yesterday and very nice it was too. The lunch-time menu is very limited but at £4.95 for a main course it was excellent value for the money. I had sausage and mash with onion gravy and veg while my wife had ham, egg and chips. Ordinary pub grub but well... More

We recently re-visited The White Lion and were pleasantly surpised to see it has recently been taken over. The food is great value and tasty. A new chef who used to work at Rushton Hall! I understand a revamp is coming, including the guest rooms. The new manager is very friendly and welcoming as are all the staff.

The annexe nest to the pub is dated, very basic but adequate. The pub itself is also dated and was very quiet when we were there but the food was excellent and the staff very welcoming. Fantastic value for money!

Prior to arrival I rang to book dinner at the pub and was informed by the manager that on that date he was away and the kitchen would be closed due to previous issues ! He assured me however that breakfast was included and would be provided. On arrival we were shown to our room which was in an annexe... More

Just had a fantastic weekend in Geddington for Geddfest and the village street fair. However the accommodation that we stayed in @ The White Lion in Queen Street was a real let down. As someone else has said the rooms were dirty with cobwebs everywhere, the bathroom fittings had been broken, the carpets, windowsills and skirting boards were filthy, something... More

The pub itself is well past a re-furb! As for the 'bungalow' rooms, dirty, grotesque carpet, filthy net curtains, windows never seen a clean since it was built ! Furniture scratched and smelt damp. Plaster falling off the walls , hole in bathroom door where someone has kicked it. Old tiles, filthy shower unit. Very old beds, springs stuck in... More

Thank you for a wonderful welcome when 17 of us aged 2-80 came on 12th May 2013 for Sunday lunch. The conservatory was an excellent space to accommodate us all, for the celebration of my fathers 80th birthday whilst he was over from Thailand. Everyone enjoyed the meal and the Treacle sponge was a definite hit. Location and parking were... More

I recently stayed here for a couple of nights with some friends and we thoroughly enjoyed it. The room was lovely and warm and although a bit basic it was perfectly adequate. The food however was wonderful. We had an evening meal as well as breakfast and everything was excellent quality, well cooked and served on piping hot plates. All... More

Very cheap, clean, basic B&B fine for the night we stayed. The food was brilliant & there was the option of having a 'Mini meal' - same food, just smaller portions for those that find a massive pile of food off putting, (I also object to paying for all the extra food you just can't eat or don't really want)...
