Excellent food and accommodation. The Dom Perignon room with the log burner was a lovely surprise and even better that we had a call on our way up to ask if we would like the fire lit before we arrived, such a nice touch. The room was in a separate building away from the restaurant, it was clean, warm and... More

Went for Sunday lunch a little more expensive than most places but absolutely perfect. We all had roast beef and it was first class accompanied by best yorkshire puddings ever has, crispy roasties, lovely mash, Swede and cauliflower cheese. Very tasty gravy. Then beautifully presented home made sweets. Mine was Bailey's creme brulee with shortbread biscuits. Excellent service. Great place... More

I have stayed at the Bluebell a number of times in the last year on business and have consistently been impressed by the quality of the hotel and even more by the in house restaurant what offers an extremely high standard of food locally sourced the staff and management always offer a a warm welcome and courteous service. I would... More

Stayed here on the first Sat in Jan and expected the inn to be quiet but found to the contray, the restaurant was completely full and the atmosphere was wonderful! Excellent cosy pub with friendly and helpful staff. Food excellent and the log fire a delight on a freezing day. We stayed in the Champagne Rooms which had their own... More

stayed for one night in the Dom Perignon room. Rest of family shared two other Champagne rooms. All well decorated, modern and well maintained. The log burner was an added pleasure given how cold the weather was. Ate in the restaurant. Great service and fine, quality food. No pressure from the service team and everything presented. Owner really looked after... More

We have just returned from a one night stay at The Blue Bell Inn and would highly recommend both the guesthouse and restaurant. We stayed in one of the champagne rooms (Krug room) which was absolutely fantastic with gorgeous beams, lovely decor and a log fire burning for us on arrival! The food and service in the restaurant was exceptional... More

I stayed here for a week on a shooting trip, it was excellent. I stayed in one of the newer rooms in a different building from the main inn and restaurant, it was called the Laurent Perrier room. Comfortable double bed with ensuite, large wardrobe with plenty of hangers and drawer space. Bath and shower, plenty of hot water and... More

We stayed here recently on a recommendation and had booked one of the champagne rooms......it was huge and absolutely perfect ( the only thing that kind of let it down was the quality and size of the towels). Like many of the reviews mentioned, we had also been told that the owner can be grumpy but to perfectly honest he... More

I am writing a review on the restaurant only It is not cheap but the 5star food is well worth it We didn't have wine as we thought it was overpriced The meal was superb but I felt the bar staff could have been a bit more welcoming We will return for the food and hope a smile appears on... More

Because of a review on here suggesting that mine host was a bit grumpy we almost decided against going but glad we did. We went for Sunday lunch which was very enjoyable and in particular excellent value for money. The choice of dishes was not overwhelming but was more than adequate. Any more and they would probably have to increase... More
