This hotel was excellent from many points of views. Good accommodation, professionally run restaurant delivering very good food and friendly service. We had a characterful large room with a lovely outside patio and a well conceived bathroom. My only small gripe was the lack of wifi in the bedroom but there is wifi in the main building. The food was... More

My Wife and I wanted a small pub / hotel to stay in on the eve of our 27th. Wedding anniversary, and we chose the Blue Bell. What an excellent choice! We arrived to be told that we had been upgraded from an "ordinary" champagne room, to the top "Krug" room, and what a fabulous room it turned out to... More

Went to Pickering and Whitby and this was a convenient place to stay. First impressions as we drove up were quaint and attractive. This was backed up by a friendly welcome and a lovely room themed on Pol Roger champagne. Breakfast was excellent. We enjoyed a nice quiet stay and the location was perfect for what we wanted to do.... More

The Bluebell is rather on the pricy side (for us ), but is really worth the money!.The quality, range and taste of the food has to be tried to be believed. We prefer eating in the.bar area to the formal dinning room, especially in winter when the open fire is blazing.Lunchtime or evening you really are in for a treat.p

We picked this hotel at random as some where to stay after visiting the Driffield show. We found the service and standard of accommodation high and the staff friendly and helpful. We ate in the restaurant and were not disappointed as the food and service were excellent, although prices were on the high side. Would stay here again if visiting... More

Great place to stay and fantastic food, well appointed rooms and, if the weather is good, lovely area to sit outside for drinks, service very good. It is a good location for visiting the house and gardens at nearby Sledmere.

We stayed here during the weekend of the Malton Food Festival and booked a champagne room. Upon arrival we were greeted warmly and taken straight to our room, which was the Veuve Clicquot room. The room was a generous size with a decent bathroom and was well equipped, including tea and coffee making facilities. Breakfast was great, and for the... More

For 2 months we have been driving thru England just picking accommodation properties at random and we chanced upon the Blue Bell Inn. It's truly another 5 star winner! I can find little to criticize :) Located in a very quiet country setting this Inn was an oasis from the hustle and bustle around many of the places we've visited.... More

I booked a private room on Satrurday 3rd May for our family to celebrate our 40th Wedding Anniversary. We were warmly greeted as we arrived and shown straight to our table which was set most beautifully. The staff were friendly, professional and were friendly to the children in the party. The service was fantastic, attentive without being overbearing. The bread... More
