After a lovely walk to isles bridge. We popped into the punch bowl for a few drinks and sat outside to take in the lovely views. The menu was so tempting and we stayed for dinner. It was utterly gorgeous, good value for money and delightful wine. Great waitressing staff, Will definitely come again.

Stayed overnight in Room 1 for which we paid £110 B&B, overpriced ! Good view to front of Swaledale but view from rear window not good ! No milk supplied in room. Had to go up to "sitting room" on floor above to access jug of milk from 'fridge. Would have been happier with 'long life' milk in room. No... More

We called in as we were passing one Saturday and decided it was time for a spot of lunch. I am so pleased we did. The menu gave options to cater for all tastes and when the food arrived we certainly weren't disappointed with the quality or quantity of the food. First class and friendly service along with good quality... More

My husband & I stayed here for only one night. We both so wished it could of been longer. But we shall definitely be going back. The staff were very welcoming & showed us to a superior front facing room that overlooked the dales. Wow what a view from the window. We ate in the bar that evening and the... More

We stayed at CBs in October 2014 and wrote a review for that stay.(the sister property to the Punch Bowl up in Arkengarthdale) I would have to say that if I was to choose between the two it would be CBs everytime, for the following reasons. 1/ The eating arrangements at CBs are homely, whereas the Punch Bowl its a... Lovely lunch at the Punchbowl Inn. Delicious food with lots of veggie options that don't include frozen lasagne. Really yummy puddings including Sticky Toffee Pudding. Very friendly staff and just very calm and accommodating. Everything a nice pub should be.

We had an Excellent 2 day break at The Punchbowl Inn whilst visiting good friends with our two dogs. We were given a ovely dog freindly room and the view from the bedroom window was beautiful over Swaledale. We could not fault the breakfast, evening meals and the Sunday carvey. The Staff were all extremely helpful in fact we would... More

Just back from an excellent two day break at the Punch Bowl. It is two years since we last stayed there. Very little has changed. Service was very good, the accommodation clan and very comfortable and the food was outstanding. The Punch Bowl is situated in a beautiful location with walks from the doorstep. On the Tuesday we did a... More

The Punchbowl is the perfect English country inn. (Too smart by far to be called a pub; too comfortable and lacking formality to be branded an hotel.) The decor owes much to the Farrow & Ball colour chart while the bar stools carry the symbol of the Mouse Man. However it is the menu which lifts the place from the... More
