Stayed here on a Saturday night on route. Room and bedding very clean, décor in room and public areas very tired needs re-decorating. Staff very helpful and friendly. Because we arrived late on Saturday night we could not get any hot water. It was O.K. in the morning and the receptionist said we should have contacted them and they would... More

The signs for the hotel are not very clear, you see it when you are on top of it, which is not good when travelling at 60mph. The receptionist was very warm and welcoming, and gave us all the help we needed. The room was clean and very comfortable. I had a double room and a family room. Both were... More

This Travelodge is conveniently situated on the A1 but if you ask for a room upstairs at the back it is really quiet as it looks out onto countryside. We saw a fox in the field when we drew our curtains the following morning! There is a Little Chef on site which we used for breakfasts. With a 20% off... More

Reading previous comments, it is true that the television does not provide good picture quality... and it is true that the staff are impressive... Staying at this Travelodge provides a mixture of experience. The new beds are really quite comfortable; I was reminded of what Sheraton introduced nearly twenty years ago but that was for much more expensive hotels. The... More

We stopped over on a long journey from Suffolk to North-West Scotland. The information for the hotel says that it's being refurbished and some rooms may not be up to the usual standard. When we turned up we were very pleasantly surprised. Of course it's not in the most picturesque location next to the A1M but the room was clean,... More

Stayed for one night and found the room to be clean, warm and the bed comfy. The staff were really helpful and very pleasant and the car oarking was fine and not busy. The lead in signage to the entrance from the A1 was a bit poor, but a bargain at the price paid for the hotel.

The hotel may be in need of refurbishment but the staff more than make up for that. Everyone we met during our 2 night stay were helpful and friendly. The receptionist recommended a great pub for a meal. The bed was new and the sheets clean; the room was just a bit past its best though very spacious. Be careful... More

The TV doesn't work properly the kettle is rank full of lime scale and the spiders wow it like a wildlife park... More

Stayed here for the night on way to the Lake District. Room was clean and tidy and the bed was very comfy but Travelodge have decided to remove the sofa's from the family rooms so was no where to sit apart from the bed The receptionist was very friendly and helpful.

I needed somewhere to stay near to Teesside that was good value. This was the nearest brand hotel that I could find which was a good balance of cost vs distance. Not the best Travelodge I've stayed in but far from the worst.
