Booked by family member in group. Yes the room has had a refurb. Looks fresher but the bathroom and shower well it's comical... All was clean and well presented for an old school Travelodge.. Staff are great.. The Shell garage 500m's up the road served alcohol at 1am! So not all bad

A spick-and-span refurbished room was a welcome sight after a long drive. The room and bathroom were equally as clean. Although this is on the busy A1, with the continued road works, a had great nights sleep. The room was a little cold on arrival but the panel radiator did a good job of warming the room up very quickly.... More

Clean and tidy. Don't need anything more for a family on the move. Stayed here on the way up to and also on the way back from Scotland. Family rooms with comfy double bed. Pull out bed ok for children but not so cfy for adults (tried to sleep next to my 2yr old at one stage to calm her).

Hotel was excellent value for money, clean and everything we needed in the room. Shower was great. . . put up bed was too firm for me but perfect otherwise. Would definitely go there again. Only word of warning is the Little Chef does close at 8 week days but I believe Richmond Little chef will deliver.

Stayed 2 nights to visit surrouning places of interest in n.yorks.I think a refurb.is overdue with sad room and decor with old tv.But still clean and tidy with Little Chef on site for the odd meal.Summer duvets needed, the ones we had were too heavy for comfort. The biggest problem with the area at the moment is the upgrade of the... We stayed here for my son and my nephews Passing out at the above. Whilst the surroundings are a little tired. The bed is comfortable the linen and towels, spotless. The price is so reasonable and family rooms are available. The staff ordered us a taxi to get us to our destination. There is a little chef and an excellent pub... More

It's easy to knock Travelodge, and especially the older sites that are worn and a little tired, Scotch Corner is certainly one of those sites. However, as other's have pointed out, it is being refurb'd, and having spent 3 nights here whilst the road works were literally just outside, we didn't have any issues with the hotel. It was lovely... More

We had room 24 which was very big and lovely field over fields towards hills. Little Chef food both evening meal and breakfast was lovely and the Travelodge gave a 20% off voucher for the evening meal. Don't miss the turning!! Only gave 4 on sleep quality as pillows too hard for my liking.

Certainly not the best travellodge we have stayed in. It's about to be refurbished and certainly needs it, even the room key was held together with sellotape. Having said that the room was very clean and the bed extremely comfortable, which was all we needed and the staff were friendly and helpful. It was also a cheap place to stay.... More

Stayed for 1 night before going to another venue. We have stayed at this Travelodge before it was refurbished. Sam on reception was very welcoming and informative of places to eat etc. We had a room on the 1st floor at the rear of the building. The room was clean and quiet. For a budget nights sleep you cant beat... More
