This hotel is a disgrace I'm surprised travel lodge put its name to it the rooms were dirty smelly black marks on the walls the carpets were horrid I wouldn't expect my dog to stay never mind me. The TV doesn't work properly the kettle is rank full of lime scale and the spiders wow it like a wildlife park... More

Stayed here for the night on way to the Lake District. Room was clean and tidy and the bed was very comfy but Travelodge have decided to remove the sofa's from the family rooms so was no where to sit apart from the bed The receptionist was very friendly and helpful.

I needed somewhere to stay near to Teesside that was good value. This was the nearest brand hotel that I could find which was a good balance of cost vs distance. Not the best Travelodge I've stayed in but far from the worst.

We arrived at 11pm pretty tired - relieved to see the Travelodge. The Reception and corridors will probably be getting a facelift - but the friendly and helpful staff more than made up. The room has not yet been refurbished but was fine - and it had a very comfortable NEW king size bed. We did however notice just how... More

The exterior of this Hotel does not do itself any favours. It is rather shabby and in need of some work. I nearly drove straight past as the signs are easy to miss after a long and tiring journey. There is plenty of free parking. Don't be put off by the fact that the A1 is only a short distance... More

We stayed here for two nights and loved every minute. The rooms are spacious, very clean, very comfy bed and a choice of bath or shower. (Very important to my husband who hates showers). The staff are great and, despite being so close to the A1, surprisingly quiet. In fact with a room upstairs at the back we couldn't hear... More

We stayed here for just one night whilst visiting friends,we had 2 rooms and it was the best nights sleep I've had in a long time. The bed was so comfy.. It was clean and we had everything we needed, will be staying here more often when visiting again. Little chef was super for breakfast too.

this is one of the smaller more traditional travelodges on the A1 northbound but inside is quiet and very pleasant with very amenable staff familiar and enthusiastic about the local area. The dual carriageway is soon to be upgraded but we hope this will not affect this motel in any way and look forward to staying there again on our... More

We stayed at this travelodge on our way home from holiday. It was such good value as total cost was only £21 ,for the room. It had a large double bed,2 pillows each, large white duvet, large white towels.A television and tea/coffee making things. All for just £21. The view from the window over open countryside was most pleasant. Then we were given a... More
