I had a four night stay in this hotel recently. The hotel was fine, clean and tidy and smelled lovely. Claire, the receptionist was very nice and easy to get on with and I passed a little while having a pleasant conversation with her. Unfortunately the car park was a nightmare. You take your life in your hands when trying to... More

Free wifi is an essential service offering and should work seamlessly - it didn't. Slow limited band width but you could upgrade for 5 quid! A dissatisfier. Rooms clean and comfortable but poor lighting in the bathroom. Great breakfast and good service.

Stayed here overnight on way up to Scotland. Good location for those wanting a break on the road up to Scotland but the location of the travelodge itself is a bit of a nightmare. We stayed in room 101 which is directly above reception so it was just a few feet from all the nose of those entering and leaving.... More

Stayed for a night when down to watch le tour. Hotel ok, room clean but too warm. Room (129) was next to m&s loading bay, wakened at 5am with delivery, generally noisy from car park also. Services next door handy to grab a coffee from costa or snacks from m & s. Would stay again but ask for a room... More

we stayed at the travel-lodge on the south bound side of the A1. It was a perfect location for the end of stage 1 and the start of stage 2. The room was spotlessly clean but rather warm as it was an east facing room. Perhaps an air-con unit would have helped. The bathroom was clean but the shower did... More

Ideal location especially for getting early start for the lake district the next day, was a bit noisy having a room over the car park but only to be expected in services hotel. Rooms clean and staff friendly.

I had stayed at this lodge last year and it was a good experience so I booked hoping it would be as good. We arrived at 6.00pm and were greeted by a very cheerful manager who i think was called Tom. He ran through all the info about the hotel and helped me enter the car details for over night... More

Overall a pleasant stay... My wife and I stayed here for one night when travelling back from Scotland. The room was clean & comfortable. There were plenty of alternatives in site for supper and we were happy to picnic in our room with M & S goodies. The site is vey busy and there was quite a lot of noise... More
