We have just come back from our weekend and after our fith visit to Robin Hoods Bay staying with the Foster family, it's still my favourite place. When the welcome, hospitality, rooms not to mention breakfast are just what you want, why would you change it? The b&b is at the top of the bank with parking. A few doors... More

Of course, this was our last night on the Coast to Coast. Callum greeted us and made us feel very welcome. He gave dinner recommendations and bus info for the next day. The room was well appointed and the bathroom very nice. It was close to town without being in the busy part. Rachel was helpful as she served us... More

the b&b is owned and run by a couple with three young children, i was slightly worried at first that the children would be noisy in the mornings but we never heard them at all, the rooms were well set out and very clean and the porthole in the bathroom was a lovely quirky feature, the breakfast was lovely with... Thank- you for your comments we are glad that you enjoyed your stay, but felt I need to resond to some of your statements. We are not a hotel, we are very similar to many of the other B&Bs in that we don't offer a guest lounge. Often extra facilites are reflected in the price at other establishments so to... More

We stayed over the August bank holiday weekend and it was pleasant enough but I have now decided that bed and breakfasts are not for me. I miss the freedom that a holiday cottage or bigger hotel offers, we did feel that we were in the way and living in a strangers family home. The owners have a young family... More

A place that just looked a little different, in a good way. Sensible thickness of duvet given weather at time - some places insist on the highest tog rating even in summer...why? Clean, tidy, bathroom a little small, but managable, one big breakfast table, different, but funtional and worked given small number of rooms. Service very friendly, secure cycle storage... More

Even though the room we stayed in was nicely furnished and clean I wouldn't return here as it wasn't particularly welcoming and this made us feel uncomfortable. We arrived late in the afternoon after a busy day, and as we had been camping we were really keen to relax and have a shower, but the owner was out, so we... More

We think that this review is a little unfair as we do make an effort to make all our guests feel welcome. The room these guest were in is not our sea view room. However there is a partial view of the sea through a port hole. This has not been shown on the photograph pictured on the review .... More

Northcliff was very easy to find, clean and cheerful. We had the blue double room, which had an en suite shower and toilet. We overlooked the quiet street outside, the bed was large and comfortable, there was a TV and tea/coffee making facilities. The only issue we had was the B&B was not very well insulated, we could hear the... More
