Some people might find this place small and claustrophobic with the low ceilings, narrow corridors, dim lighting, etc. but I thought it was brilliant! Certainly different from the norm. The wooden beams and framework on walls and ceiling give it a very old and atmospheric feel. You can imagine yourself as the skipper of an old vessel, just returned to... More

Spent one night b and b here. The accommodation is above a restaurant and is located in the old part of Robin Hoods Bay. We were rushed in to the room by staff who were busy with the restaurant so it didn't feel very welcoming. Our room was very small and poky, due no doubt to the age and character... More

Just spent a night at Bramble wick Guest House in Robin Hoods Bay along with two very good friends. Such a pity a gem of a place with so much character has been left to collect dust and muck in every nook and cranny available.. On arrival we were greeted, not by the proprietor of the guest house, but a... More

Not a great lunch experience at all. We had to wait over 1/2 hour for sausage sandwiches. People who ordered after us were getting their food first. Annoying. The 2 members of staff were disorganised and everything was a rush for them. I observed one of them empty the bin and then make drinks without washing her hands! Ugh. My... More

Lovely friendly service from younger female staff member. The room however (upstairs studio) was disappointing. The room was dirty, poor quality bedding, thin curtains and there was nothing other than 2 dirty mugs & glasses in the "kitchen" area (empty cupboard & sink). There was very little in way of necessities and definitely nothing that could be described as comfort.... More

My buddy and I stayed here after completing the C2C mountain bike ride. We were dirty, tired and disheveled and had muddy bikes to store too. The owner could not have been more helpful or accommodating. Room was great at the top with a small lounge as was my mates. We booked for a meal and then went for a... More

Stayed here for one night whilst walking part of the Cleveland way. We found that the host/ owner to be very freindly and joyful who obviously enjoyed their work. They have a rear entrance which can be used to get to rooms so no need to walk through main restaurant which is ideal. This is a small B & B... More

We stopped in this bay just for one night and wished it was longer. its a beautiful little village, not touristy, really local feel to it. The hotel added to our amazing stay there. A great reception when we walked through the door and shown straight to our room which I couldn't fault. We had the top room with a... More

Stayed in the quaint village of Robin Hood's Bay during a weekend break around Yorkshire. The Brambewick is an excellent place to spend the night. The room we stayed in (4) was clean and tidy with a comfy bed, along with a sofa and gas fire if the weather takes a turn for the worse as it sadly did for... More
