After the long climb down the steep hill a drink at the bay was very welcome with great views but overpriced drinks. A little tatty but okay for a rest. We did not try the food but looked at the menu which had a lot of sea food at high prices.

Passed this pub many times and had a few drinks there but never stayed until now. Its a great location -right at the end of the coast to coast walk. My partner always wanted to stay here so she booked us in room 1 for a couple of nights and I was looking forward to it and really hoping to... More

I hadn't been to this area of Yorkshire for over 30 years having left as a young man. So it was good to see it again after all this time. Robin Hoods Bay is still as charming and as English as ever. We stayed at the Bay Hotel which is right at the bottom of the winding hill to the... More

First of all, the pros, fantastic location, room was clean, staff were helpful, newly tiled en suite. Cons, the bed was extremely uncomfortable, ok only for one night, room was tiny, en suite was cramped and dark, toilet seat was broken, the shower head was held in place with cable ties. Two curtains in the room, one gold, one orange???... More

Second visit and as good as ever. Food and drink are great – the 16 oz rump a real, tasty challenge. Ozzie our dog made welcome and Room 1 a winner. The views from here are fantastic. Well done to Daniel and the guys – keep it up !

We stayed at this Hotel in July of 14. This was our second visit to Robin Hood's Bay - the first time we stayed up on the hill and would walk down into the main part of the village for everything. This time, we decided to stay right in the heart of everything. So glad we did. Yes, you have... More

A delightful location where the sea laps at the wall of this homely and comfortable "pub with rooms". We enjoyed three nights in a comfortable room with glorious views, wonderful breakfasts and excellent evening meals. The staff were most helpful and welcoming.

We didn't stay at the hotel, but hiked to Robin Hood's Bay from Ravenscar. We arrived along the beach, hungry and eager to sit down with a pint, and found the Bay Hotel just by the slipway. It really is a fabulous location and we managed to get a table with a view out over the beach and right by... More

Fantastic 3 nights for 2 nights winter special offer. We love the sea in winter, kept warm walking and open fires. Bay people are really welcoming. Room one with double aspect see view and shower room on suite worth a very little extra. Typical pub decor painted anaglypta and 80's furniture, very clean, seats to watch the sea. Reasonably priced... More

Log fires, pleasant people, panoramic views across the bay, real ale and unreal locals. you get the idea. Could hear the sea from our bed and walks on the beach started at the hotel door. i really rather liked it.
