Kirsten and Andrew. I chose Thorpe Hall as I wanted a break in Yorkshire and have fond memories of the area. The room although a little small as we had a big dog, was to the highest standard, cleanliness 100%. Service also value excellent and sleep wonderfull. The date entered is not the date we stayed as there was no... More

The location is stunning, the historic house is elegant and unfussy, the hosts warm, funny and thoughful. Of all the places I've stayed, I can't think of a more laidback, unpretentious vibe as the one created here. If you want boutique hotel blandness, this place isn't for you. If you want an interesting, charming and unique bolthole to completely relax... More

Just returned from a weekend stay here. The property is a very old, quality place, and the room we had reflected the age and style of the period. We found the owners very friendly and attentive, very much in the background, not intruding. They were very helpful giving directions to the local footpaths, and accommodated our cycles in an outbuilding.... More

Thank you Angelique for a wonderful and relaxing weekend, The 1st floor rooms, we were given were clean and comfortable. Angelique and family made us very welcome, and any problems were solved very quickly. She was so helpful in booking restaurants and taxis, which made it more enjoyable. We definitely will be back. Thorpe hall is a listed Tudor Manor House in a tiny little village which has sea views. The hall is not the easiest place to find as it is very badly sign posted but the owners were very helpful with directions. The Hall is beautifully decorated with nice puplic areas and there is a lovely atmoshere. It is a family... More

Wonderful old manor house with all the idiosyncrasies one would expect of the real thing. Immediate sense of the history and atmosphere with beautiful music piped into the tiled entrance hall (great for leaving muddy boots in). Beautifully appointed room with adjacent bathroom; fabulously comfortable bed. No telly in the room but this contributed to the peace and tranquility of... More

We were greeted on our arrival by the wife of the management team who was very friendly and informative about local walks etc. We were shown the rooms downstairs and then up to our room. We didn’t see her again after this during our stay. The house is historic and interesting, with the owners living pretty much in completely separate... More

Dear Reviewer, Our hope is that all of our guests give us the opportunity to hear their feedback – good and bad! - whilst they are here with us. We are horrified to think that you stayed with us for three nights, and we had no idea that your stay was an unpleasant one. We would have welcomed the opportunity... More

Made to feel so welcome from the second we arrived. Room was wonderful and and very spacious even though we had our toddler staying in the same room. Breakfast was delicious with lots of choice. Gardens are spectacular as is the location and views. Can't wait to go back!
