My Husband and I have just returned from a Saturday night stay with Lucy and Chris at the Wayfarer. I found their website by accident looking for somewhere to stay in the Whitby area and booked on recommendations from their guest book, which I must admit seemed too good to be true. We should not have doubted the comments made;... more

What can i say that hasn't already been said. The Wayfarer is a little piece of heaven on earth. We went to celebrate our 20th wedding anniversary and it was perfect. The food was to die for, the portions were huge and all totally fresh. The room was spotless with flatscreen tv and touchs of a hotel with tea and... more

Stayed 2 nights at the Wayfarer and did not want to leave. The high standards and hard work that Chris, Lucy (owners) and the rest of the staff put into the Wayfarer shines through as the place is truly outstanding. Everything is finished off to pure perfection which makes this the perfect getaway. The food is fresh, cooked to perfection... more

We stayed for 3 nights in June 2009. We were very lucky with the weather, as they had forecast rain. We had room 3, which was a pleasantly sized room with balcony at the front, with views to the side of the bay. This was especially nice in the evenings, sitting with a glass of wine and just chilling. Pillows... more

We ate at the Wayfarer on a Bank Holiday Saturday evening - it was fully booked, and had a pleasant, lively atmosphere. we enjoyed delicious mussels, squid and succulent sea bass, and our sons said the duck was also beautifully cooked. We did not stay at the Guesthouse, so can't comment on the rooms. more

This was in fact our third visit here, we first went in February and back again in March. Chris and Lucy the owners make you feel so welcome and their staff deliver service in a manor you don't see these days. Every room is beautiful (we've stayed in 3 different rooms) and immaculate. The food in the bistro is fantastic... more
