My husband and I ate at the Wayfarer recently. My husband's starter of garlic mushrooms was simple but delicious. All the elements of my black pudding starter unfortunately tasted of deep fried oil that badly needed to be changed. I was told that the lamb main course is always cooked pink which is how I like mine to be cooked.... More

My husband and I travelled on spec to Robin Hoods Bay and stayed at The Wayfarer. We were welcomed by the new owners who were friendly and helpful. Our room was clean and spacious and we had a comfortable nights sleep. If we had pre-planned the trip, we would have tried to book a room with a balcony but as... More

We have just returned from an excellent overnight stay at The Wayfarer and would definitely recommend both the Bistro and the b&b. Michelle welcomed us when we arrived, and was then on hand to serve during the evening dinner service, and following breakfast... And her professional attitude and smile remained at all times. My fiancée and I enjoyed an excellent... More

We have stayed here previously on numerous occasions but this was our first visit with the new owners. We had room 2 which has a lovely balcony (great for people watching with a glass of wine) and has a wonderful view of the bay. We found the standard to be just as high, with clean, comfortable rooms with an excellent... More

First time we had stopped in the area. We only stopped for the one night and we had been given a room on the first floor which had a balcony and gave us some lovely views. The room was cosy and had an ensuite shower. The bed was comfy with the standard welcome chocolate. Having not eaten in the restaurant... More

They wayfarer is always a favourite of mine and when I went this evening it was delightful super friendly staff too. I had the tuna steak and oh my days I was expecting one smallish steak but no I got 3 huge fillets wow! They were tasty that's for sure. Me and my friend got 3 courses and a bottle... More

I booked 2 rooms for 1 night at the Wayfarer, on arrival I was a bit apprehensive as you enter through a side door which did seem rather od, but the room on the first floor with balcony was very good with a nice shower rooom. The other room on the next floor was a good size and my daughter and... Having in the past eaten some fantastic meals at the bistro when Lucy was chef,&chris was front of house, we decided to try it again under the new management. Staff still friendly but the food and the atmosphere not the same. Food wise in our opinion is now lacking the quality and the quantity that the Bistro was once famouse... More

We booked for a short stay and decided to stay here. Unfortunately we had a very small room at the top of the building and I have to say we were glad it was just for one night. The room was very clean with tea and coffee facilities but the room was very small with and even smaller bathroom. Good... More

Stayed for 2 nights in one of the attic rooms. The room was fairly small, but we had everything we needed. Beds were comfy. The bathroom was compact, however, it was very clean and modern. The shower was very efficient. The owners were very friendly and obliging. Breakfast was of a high quality with plenty of choice freshly cooked to... More
