My husband and I have just spent an enjoyable weekend here and were charmed by Richmond itself and the surrounding areas. We found the hotel had 'olde World' charm, and was comfy and cosy. Our room was huge and overlooked the market place, making it ideal to watch the world go by. We ate in the restaurant and enjoyed our... more

The Kings Head Hotel, what a disappointment. After reading a few good reviews about this hotel I thought I’d risk it.Oh dear. The first thing to be aware of is that this is not a £100 plus a night hotel. I made the mistake of thinking that the price reflected the standard of the hotel. I wanted to have a... more

"Great Stay"-We have never stayed at the Kings Head before and having read some of the reviews, were not sure what to expect as they seemed so up and down. Well, it was just brilliant. The staff were execptional and our bedroom (recently refurbished), was beautifully decorated and very comfy. Dinner in the Kings Restaurant, was also better than we... more

Had a meal in the bar which was suberb, cod with thermodore sauce, got chatting to lady behind the bar, she was saying most of... more

We booked this hotel as part of a surprise birthday party (tehre were 13 of us) - and we were drawn in by their lovely web site with photos and good reviews of the hotel. However, when we got there, I have to say, this Hotel is one of the worst I have ever stayed in. The rooms were grubby... more

Paid over £100 a night for what we thought was a wonderful hotel - the web site is convincing! Initially given room 36 - but it only has 30 rooms! Told to go out the back to Kings Court, rooms along a side street / busy road & roundabout. Very scruffy I would not have used the shower, black &... more

spent just one night at this hotel and paid extra for a "Premier Room", their words on the advertising not ours, First the good; staff were attentive and pleasant. The bad; we had stayed on a thursday which meant it was a special evening meal night, a choice of one of 5 starters, mains and sweet with a complimentary coffee... more

Not sure where some of the more negative reviews come from? Just stayed over for 2 nights and i'm not sure if i could fault the experience. Check in was prompt and a table was reserved straight away, even though we cheacked in at 8pm on a friday. Food was excellent and reasonably priced. Breakfast wasn't included in the room... more

Paid around 100 pounds per night for B&B, rooms could be cleaner, better maintained. Bathroom only had bath, no shower. Hot breakfast took a long time to order and much longer to be served. Central location is a negative in this case as the square gets very noisy at night with drunks and 6am with deliveries, dont expect to get... more
