I had a single room with a shared bathroom. The shower was out of order which is not good for someone doing the Coast-to-Coast walk as I was - i had just walked 20 miles so not impressed. The room was small and tired with a dormer type beam which was below head level (yes, I hit it twice). No... More

I booked this hotel for over night stay for myself and Daughter and couldn't thank the owner and staff enoughbfor the range excellent hospitality. Nothing seemed a problem and if we needed anything just ask. Definitely would stay again its peaceful and plenty of walking just a shame we didn't have en-suite bathroom but that wasn't too much of a... More

Spent a long weekend at The Old Brewery whilst conducting a walking holiday in the Dales. A warm friendly B&B with excellent accommodation. Very cosy modern ensuite bedrooms, with lots of hot water, just what you need after a bracing trek in the Dales. Very friendly staff. Happy to get us a warm snack in the middle of the afternoon. Excellent... More

We struggled to find somewhere to stay, busy pre Christmas weekend, and found this place. We were very pleased with the place, we would stay again, friendly (new) owner who couldn't do enough. Rooms lovely and warm on winters day we had rooms 1 and 4. Breakfast good. Nice guest lounge to use. Plenty of tourist info and computer if... More

Stayed for one night at this B&B. The room was not large and we had to share a bathroom but it was clean and comfortable, one or two little niggles but nothing to put anyone off. The breakfast was excellent with a good menu choice.

This place had the crankest reception staff I've ever encountered. We were in a back room with no heat and no heat on the "heated" towel rack. When I asked how to turn on the heat I was told it didn't work and they'd have to get it fixed. The room smelled musty. The first evening we were there we... More

We stayed at this hotel as part of our coast to coast walk. When we arrived, the lady who met us was really grumpy, there is no one on duty and you have to phone to get access. We could hear chaos in the kitchen in the morning. Rooms were satisfactory. We had to cancel our second night and were... More

I stayed here four days ago, the actual building was lovely, I stayed in one of the rooms out the back of the building, which was very satisfactory, beautiful four poster bed etc. The day time staff were absolutely fabulous, they went out of their way to help in anyway, and also the cooked breakfast was super and the staff... We stayed in a room away from the main building and in the morning we were unable to open the door. There is no phone in the room but managed to get a small amount of signal to phone reception. Upon telling the owner that we were locked in she laughed and said others had been stuck before and that... More
