Booked all 3 rooms and the owner's couldn't do enough for us. Attention to detail in the bedrooms and at breakfast. Italian restaurant was fair but lacks atmosphere due to lighting and music...Rustic Pizza was really tasty though! Back to Porch House..this couple deserves to do really well as they have everything right in their accommodation. Log fire and coffee... More

It's difficult to know where to start .... the house itself is very old and goes back to Charles I. It's located on the high street in Northallerton just opposite the church. There's plenty of secure off-road parking by the walled garden. Christine and Charles the owners could not be more helpful and the breakfast was just delightful ... including... More

This was my second visit to this lovely bed and breakfast and we were greet,ed warmly by the owners with tea and an assortment of home made cakes. The hotel in really centrally positioned and there is ample parking at the back. The rooms are beautifully decorated with a welcome tray that includes fruit and home made biscuits and real... More

As soon as we arrived Charles was there to help with our bags. We were served tea and cake on our arrival by christine which was beautiful. The house and rooms are beautifully decorated and spotlessly clean. Charles and christine made us feel at home straightaway. We had fruit and chocolates in our room and beautiful home made biscuits. The... More

Beautiful historic house in Northallerton. Delightful owners who have thought of everything - bath robes and slippers, chocolates, fruit and biscuits in the room. We stayed in a charming room at the back of the house which was very quiet. Excellent breakfast. Would highly recommend

Sadly, stayed for only one night but very memorable and comfortable. Met by Charles and Christine on arrival. Had a lovely chat about the history of the place before being shown to my room overlooking the pretty garden. A gorgeous double room decorated with what looked like Osborne & Little print wallpaper. Loads of classy touches: a mechanical alarm clock,... More

What can we say that hasn't already been said! We have just returned from a fantastic one night stay, and would definitely come back. Upon arrival, we were met by the owners, Charles and Christine, and made welcome straight away. Within minutes, we had been shown our room, and provided with hot drinks and home made cakes in the lounge... More

From the friendly welcome with tea/coffee and homemade cakes in the lounge, to the fruits and chocolate in our room through to the excellent breakfast before our departure our stay at Porch House was first class. Plus it has secure parking! Highly recommended.
