We stayed two nights based on the tripadvisor reviews and can agree this is a lovely place to spend time. Very clean, well specified and comfortable. We stayed in room 1, which was large and well appointed. The hosts (Mark & Lisa) could not have been more friendly and went out of their way to help with our questions, making... more

I chose this charming B&B at the last minute purely on the basis of the multitude of 5 star reviews it has received on this website. After staying for 2 nights in late October, I quickly discovered why everyone loved their experience there. Put simply, it was cosy, spotlessly clean and the staff (also the owners) of Mark & Lisa... more

Stayed at Newton House for 2 nights in late October - just fantastic!! Great service from Mark and Lisa from beginning to end. The room we booked was at the front of the hotel and very comfortable, the bed was huge, the shower was warm and wet... If you need a quiet, friendly place to stay near Harrogate or York,... more

This was my second trip to this little hotel but the first time for a few nights and for leisure. Went with my whole family... Wife, 11 year old boy, 5 month old boy two West Highland Terriers. First thing to note is that this hotel is genuinely pet friendly and you don't need to take your own bowls, bedding... more

My 2 sisters and I stayed one night in the hotel and were very impressed. The room was beautilfully outfitted and well equipped. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The public rooms were also beautiful. Excellent cooked breakfast in the morning. Perfect location for Knaresborough which is a lovely little town to visit more

After researching various venues we plumped for the Newton House in Knaresborough as it had so man positive reviews. I must admit I had an ulterior motive to find faults as I could not believe that the venue was that good, but to its credit I couldn't find anthing. It is a genuinely fantastic venue and full deserves all the... more

Myself and my fiance stayed for one night at Newton House in August 2009. It was definitely well worth the price. The rooms are very tastefully decorated and are spotlessly clean. The breakfast was excellent, with a good selection of items to choose from. The hotel is in an excellent location, close to some very good restaurants. We had a... more

I stayed at Newton House with my fiance for two nights in July. We were meant to stay for one night but enjoyed ourselves so much we stayed for an extra night. Newton House is perfectly located, a short walk to everything. Our first room was a superior room and it was beautifully decorated and very spacious. One our second... more

It is without a doubt the best B and B I have ever stayed in. It really was faultless. Mark and Lisa and their staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfast was superb (I highly recommend the egg benedict and the home made granola) and plentiful. Normally I never touch the mini bar but the one in the room was... more
