Seven of us went herr for dinner on Saturday, including 2 children, we had a lovely meal, most of us had the fish and chips which were amazing, the two young girls that were working that night behind the bar and waitressing deserve a mention too, both very polite and friendly.

Visited this pub after reading reviews on trip advisor. Finding good food in a family friendly place can be hard. The food was lovely, there was no kids menu but they did child friendly portions or we just asked for sausage, chip and beans! The pub was heaving due to it being a Saturday teatime and a huge thunder Storm.... More

When visiting Knaresborough and looking for a late Sunday lunch we found ourselves at The Mitre. I would recommend the pub to anyone planning a trip, it has an excellent range of drinks...ale and craft beer drinkers will love it. For me it was all about the gin, a good selection on offer if a little pricey. We had a... More

What a charming Hotel /Pub. It is located across from the train station so parking is at a premium. With that negative bit out of the way, the accommodations were bright, clean and comfortable. The trains stop running early, so a good nights sleep is not a problem. They have a nice selection of real ales and it was a... More

We eat at The Mitre quite regularly and have never been disappointed yet. Good food, good menu, real ale, yummy desserts and attentive staff.. A lovely outside seating area situated between St John's church and the railway crossing.. Very good Sunday lunches too.!

Superb range of beers and wines, not a pint of Carling or Fosters in sight, meals are served in the bar or restaurant. Meals were excellent and nicely presented. We stayed in room 1 which was spacious with an equally spacious bathroom, all well maintained. Ideal for days out as trains go from 40 yards away at the station to... More

Ideally situated by Knaresborugh station the Mitre Inn offers real ale and food and accommodation. The pub/restaurant welcomes families although there were far too many young children inside for our liking on a Saturday afternoon. The accommodation was ideal for what we wanted and the breakfast in the morning was cooked to order.

Only stayed here for the night as was having a day out in Knalresborough but have to say this is an absolute gem of a place. Well decorated and modern room and a great choice of ales. Ended the night in the bar watching a live band. Great atmosphere. Following day breakfast was served in a lovely basement style restaurant.... More

We stayed a couple of mid-week nights at The Mitre and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The room was spacious, clean and well-equipped. The bed was a tad uncomfortable, maybe just needed a mattress turn, but nothing to have a serious moan about. The bar was closing at 11 so after 12 the place was very quiet. It's right next to...
