Having booked a weekend break at Wrangham House Hotel we were really looking forward to it. It lived up to all our expectations, very quaint listed II building, in a pleasant village location. Fantastic welcome on our arrival, by both the owners & the staff, we had booked an evening meal, which was delicious, as was the breakfast the following... More

Stayed at wrangham house as a birthday treat away with my husband. This listed building is absolutely stunning and full of character the gardens are beautiful and exquisitely kept. the staff were very friendly on our arrival. Our room was gorgeous and immaculately clean, the bed soooo comfortable. A word of warning - don't stay here if you are on... More

My partner and I, spent a wonderful evenings stay here, whilst visiting the North East. The rooms were tastefully styled with exquisite period features. The owners and staff were very friendly and made us feel most welcome. We dined that evening in the restaurant and we both found the food outstanding. Everything was cooked to perfection and outstandingly presented in... More

I visited Wrangham House Hotel for afternoon tea with 5 of my friends and we all thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. I cannot reccomend it highly enough! The afternoon tea is priced at £10 per person which we found to be amazing value - there was more than enough food to go around! We were served a large selection of sandwiches and... More

Visited this lovely family run hotel, cannot thank the owners enough, made us feel so welcome, nothing was a problem. Rooms were really clean, and had the best nights sleep I have had in ages, beds so comfortable. Breakfast freshly cooked to order, with all the trimmings plenty of hot toast and coffee which can be lacking in other hotels.... More

Upon arrival at Wrangham house we were greeted by very helpful staff who kindly showed us to our room. Bedroom very spacious and clean and oozing with period character fitting to the vicarage it once was. After unpacking we decided to have afternoon tea in the garden. It was a glorious sunny afternoon, the grounds of the hotel are gorgeous... More

Visited two weeks ago for an evening meal Walked into the bar area, no welcome , no-one around. Eventually a young waitress arrived who was obviously learning, she couldn't manage to open the wine and really had no idea. The dining room was quiet, very traditional and overall a lovely place to enjoy good food The Pheasant served was tough,... More

Dear customer, Thank you for your kind words about our venue. I'm sorely disappointed to read you didn't enjoy your meal. People come from afar for Peter's venison and are always extremely complimentary, perhaps it just wasn't to your taste. Pheasant is a wild bird and it's texture beyond our control. Until you actually eat the bird it is impossible... More

The good : the location, the big garden, the breakfast (delicious scrambled eggs and there's enough to feed 2 guests with one portion), the general aspect of this old vicarage and the car park. The bad : obviously the bathrooms are brand new but the electric shower delivers alternatively piping hot or freezing cold water. The sink gives lukewarm water... More

Dear Sophie T I'm very dismayed to read your review of Wrangham House Hotel. As you didn't mention any problems whilst you were staying or upon check-out when asked, I therefor assumed your stay to be a comfortable one. I'm at a loss to understand how some radiators were hot whilst others were not as they all run off the... More

Recently attended a wedding at Wrangham House. The public rooms are classic country house and elegant. The gardens are well kept and made the perfect backdrop for photographs. The location is good and central and I was able to walk in to Hunmanby easily. Parking is also good and there was a large on site car park. The venue including... More
