we have just returned from a weekend in Hawes we stayed at Ebor House. we found Janie and Stuart fantastic hosts. The B&B is everything that you could wish for, you are given your keys and told to enjoy your stay, nothing is to much trouble no curfew as you have your own front door keys. Will be staying there... more

After spending a couple of nights B&B'ing along the Pennine Way I was delighted to find a warm welcome, pristine bedrooms, spotless facilities, clean modern styling and a fresh feel to this delightful B&B. I would highly recommend this place to fellow picky travelers who are tired of that sinking feeling when you get to your booked accommodation, Ebor House... more

We stayed during our Pennine Way walk in many B&Bs but this one was really outstanding! We enjoyed it very much! B&Bs like this are one of the reasons why we are coming from Switzerland for a walk to England. It was so comfortable! Thanks a lot to the owner for the wonderfull welcome! 7th and 8th June 2009 Karen... more

Janie and Stuart are superb hosts who own a fabulous B & B. Our room, as with all the rooms (we peeked) are tastefully decorated with top of the range furniture, beds and luxurious bedding. The power showers have lashings of hot water and are situated in exquisite shower rooms. The rooms at the back have lovely views over the... more

We had a bizarre experience here. There's no question that the house is nicely decorated place, clean and well run. But the owners make it very clear that it's their home and they consider paying guests to be their children. They reserve the parental right to chastise guests. This B&B is not for you if you want the freedom to... more

Book your room here - no question, it's very good. All rooms have an individual style, enhanced by the owner's love of art. The breakfast is a grilled delight - the entire B&B experience is surely the best going between Earby and Hawes. However, the owners are conservative in that they can't sleep until they know everyone is in their... more

What a perfect place to stay. Our third visit and this time there were 3 generations from our family, including newly weds. Janie & Stuart are the perfect hosts. Their attention to detail in all aspects of a stay with them is faultless. Where else would you get your hostess remembering that you like Stuart's yummy porridge after a12 month interval?... more

This place lived up to the previous reviews we had read on Tripadvisor. Unfortunately we were late in booking, so got a room without a view. This did not matter, as the room itself, service, location (easy flat walk, 2 mins to town), with private parking (a real bonus when so close to town), and the perfectly cooked breakfast, were... more

This is a wonderful little guest house 2 minutes walk from the centre of Hawes. We had a beautiful, clean en-suite bedroom at the rear of the property with fantastic views over the countryside. Breakfast was superb and Janie and Stuart can expect us to return very soon. more

We stayed with Stuart and Janie in September 2007 for the Boots and Beer Walking festival. At the end of that week-end, we immediately booked for this year, and again we have booked for 2009. You arrive as guests and leave as friends. They are a fantastic couple who make you feel extremely welcome. The house/rooms are spotless. Breakfast is... more
