Spent four nights here experiencing all weathers including gale force winds and torrential rain! Quite an exposed site in these conditions! Lots of walks straight from motorhome door and only 10 mins walk into Hawes. Rather a strange collection of toilets and showers - three sets of ladies facilities - but all clean if a bit cold and draughty! Lots... More

Absolutely beautiful site; very friendly owners; clean well kept toilets and rest rooms. Lots of space for your tent and car and amazing views. I will definitely be back this summer for a week. It's only a 7 minute walk to hawes town centre with some lovely shops, cafe, bars

I have been staying here for the past 20 odd years since a young child and I visit a couple of times a year as just can't keep away from this idyllic place. The four hour journey is worth it every time with a warm welcome to be received on arrival from Janet and Mark! The site and facilities are... More

Stayed here in our Motorhome last weekend. Great level pitches with hook up for £20.00 per night toilets and showers ok but untreated concrete floors are not great. The countryside around the site is fantastic with a 15 minute walk into Hawes. The wind flows through the valley at quite a pace, no children's facilities seen.

Stayed here for two nights. All staff were very welcoming. A good balance of mod cons and proper camping feel. Bathrooms clean and showers worth 20p for 5 minutes. The pitches are lovely. We were by the road (our choice) and the early morning milk truck did feel like it was coming through the tent. To end our trip the... More

Me and my girlfriend stopped at this campsite this weekend, for me it was the latest in many visits to Bainbridge Ings, but for her it was her first. This is the best campsite I have ever had the pleasure to stay at. The owners are friendly, relaxed and a pleasure to deal with. The location is amazing, and for... More

The owners were very friendly, proficient and helpful. A great location for Hawes and Buttertubs: TdF. Sometimes sites this large can be a bit impersonal but everyone was amiable & friendly. 20p for a shower ver reasonable! A nice hours walk up the hills opposite!

The perfect base for exploring the Yorkshire Dales - our hosts were lovely and very helpful and the site is located just a short walk from Hawes. The pitches are very flat and located around the edges of a walled field, conveniently marked out with white posts to indicate available pitches. Quite a large site with plenty of space, we... More

We recently stayed to watch the Tour de France Yorkshire Grand Depart and had a wonderful time. The site was very busy, but neither of us queued for a shower or loo or the washing up area in the whole 5 days we were there. Nice, flat ground to pitch the tent on. It was extremely windy on a few... More
