Lovely family and dog friendly pub, with log fires. We didn't eat but the food looked good and was inexpensive. Yorkshire landlords really know how to keep cask ales, the Timothy Taylor was superb. Enjoyed meeting two rescue whippets too!

Birthday treat with my hubby and my sister and her hubby. Lovely place to stay. Nice rooms and people friendly. Idea locations for walks. Nice pubs. Will be back again in the New Year sometime. Perfect for a relaxing weekend.

Loved our stay overnight...room 4 was very comfortable and situated at the front. Loved having the view and chair in the window. My partner was out looking at motorcycle,s and I sat and read for an hour... Even above the bar it wasnt a noisy room and guy serving Sat afternoon was vet welcoming and carried out bags up. Breakfast... More

This Bed and breakfast place is firstly a pub with food and rooms, it is centrally located in Hawes and is one of the main places to eat of an evening and to have a good pint of beer. We arrived late afternoon and were shown to a very nice sunny bedroom on the front with en suite facility. The... More

The menu is more attractive than the food that appears after a very long wait Overpriced for standard fare and poor presentation delivered to the table with a couldn't care less attitude There are plenty of better places to eat in Hawes

Popped in looking for something to eat as the other places in town were busy. This place was almost empty! The beer is good and also the same local choices The food was amazing, I had the pie and the plate was massive! Definitely the place for good inexpensive pub grub. I was in another pub earlier and saw a... More

We're a bit confused about this one. On the plus side, the real ale is beautifully kept and the food is OK (the breakfast is great as is its service) and the whole place is well kept; our bed was especially comfortable. BUT on the downside, we arrived on a Saturday for a 3-day stay and at our first (and... More

This review is food the food, we did not stay here. The food is a step above pub grub-- my sausage and Yorkshire pudding was really quite good and my wife's steak and ale pie was quite tasty, all had good sides. I was in a group of 22 and although we pre-ordered, dinner service was a bit slow although... More

Just returned from a one night stay here whilst walking the James Herriot Way. We met up with family in the bar and the two hounds at about 4pm and left at 10.30! We all ate and all enjoyed our meals. Portion sizes are big! It was happy hour 6-8 and boy did it get busy! A good atmosphere. The... More

We only ate at the pub, we didn't stay. The food was a good size portion and reasonable cost however the chip fat could maybe do with changing. We had a bit of a wait, but were told this because some large groups had just ordered. Not a problem just had another beer.
