Stayed 3 nights in September. Room excellent value and comfortable. Food superb and reasonably priced. Service very good (much better than a year ago). Well positioned to explore Stately Homes of N. Yorkshire & York itself.

How nice it is to find a place that charges a fair price and then goes on to get everything right. Very well trained, attentive and friendly staff, good housekeeping, attractive decor and above all stunning food. Very fresh, cooked with a fine touch gave an all round great experience. Definitely on the list for the future.

I'll keep this short. Bedroom well decorated bed not that comfortable. Staff generally friendly and helpful. Food. All four of us thought the food on offer was very pretentious and not very good, breakfast was poor and not overly hot, portion control needs attention. So based on the food/restaurant alone I would not return. Believe this or not Premier inn... More

Spent a night here to celebrate our wedding anniversary. A lovely place, rooms nice and clean and well equipped. We had booked an evening meal in the restaurant when making our room reservation one month before we were due to stay. We had viewed sample menus on the website and agreed we were spoilt for choice, so were disappointed to... More

This hotel & restaurant are a real find. The rooms & bathrooms are fitted out to a good standard & the restaurant serves wonderful food. The light supper menu is great value. All the staff are friendly & very efficient. The only drawback is poor mobile reception on O2 over which the hotel has no control. We would highly recommend... More

We had previously had a dinner here while staying in Knaresborough several years ago. The hotel is in a village just north of Knaresborough just a short distance from the A1. We spent the Monday night here in room 14. We were shown to our room and assisted with our luggage by a very friendly member of staff. The room... More

This hotel is a great find. The approach belies the reality as once inside everything seemed faultless. A smiling welcome from Bestek, who accompanied us to the room which was generously appointed. The restaurant served up great food at Dinner and Breakfast. The staff were there when needed but not overbearing. A very good location when travelling up or down... More

We stayed here as the result of a promotional offer, for dinner B&B at a decent rate. When we arrived and had a look at the menu we decided that we would upgrade ourselves to the full a la carte dinner, which was delicious with generous sized portions. The room we stayed in was spotlessly clean, well appointed, and comfortable.... More

Stayed here for the night after a wedding. We met friends in the restaurant for lunch which was pleasant and the staff were helpful as we got there before they really opened so thanks for letting us have the teas and coffees! Stayed overnight in a very nice room, clean and comfortable. Had breakfast the next day and I must... More

Our last stop-over on our holiday in the Highlands, heading home to Kent, this is conveniently situated for the A1M. A warm welcome in reception, immaculate but atmospheric decor in an individual hotel. Dinner was superb, fine dining at its best, I shall never know how I had room for a cooked breakfast as well! The only downside was our... More
