Can't understand why this is not listed as a restaurant. My wife and I have dined here twice recently and can't fault the food and the service. It is the by far the best place we have eaten in for some time. And it is good value too, especially if you have a Gourmet Society card to get 25% off... More

Situated in this quiet estate the Crathorne is an excellent olde world hotel. Food excellent. Rooms spacious and clean. We hade a junior suite which are all on the second floor. Unfortunately this hotel the lift does not go to second floor. Therefore, carrying of luggage is a pain.b Other than this, we would highly recommend.

Booked as an overnight mid-week stop when travelling north. Pre-booked room with great price offer. Interesting 1904 building in classic style in superb position overlooking river valley with views to Yorkshire Moors. Spacious grounds with pleasant walks. A feature room on second floor, spacious with separate WC and bath/shower and very comfortable bed. Only problem no passenger lift, only a... More

Lovely old building part of it in renovation due to a fire they had but this disruption kept to a minimum to guests. Room we had was large and very comfortable with amazing views the room had a lovely proper coffee machine plus usual tea and coffee. It also had lovely bathrobes. Food both evening and breakfast was extremley good.

My wife and I decided to choose Crathorne Hall Hotel for our wedding reception venue on 2nd May 2015. The team did a great job in co-ordinating our wedding, and we had a fabulous day from start to finish. The bridal suite (Crathorne room) was stunning, the food was of the highest quality (finger food, wedding breakfast, evening buffet), and... More

We stayed at Crathorne Hall overnight to celebrate a "special" birthday for my husband. We had earlier in the year called in to have a look round, having not visited there before, and were met then with fabulous service, being escorted around the whole hotel by Nathan; nothing was too much trouble and so it was on our actual stay.... My daughter & son-in-Law chose Crathorne Hall to host their Wedding Day Celebrations – they really made an excellent choice, because this is quite a magnificent venue. From the outset, Vicki Leng (The Hotel’s wedding Co-ordinator), worked with the couple to ensure that their every wish, right down to the smallest details, were catered for – well done Vicki. Sophie... More

I stayed at this hotel as part of a business meeting. From the outside the building is very impressive and the views from the rooms are wonderful. The inside of the building is also very grand. However, the room I was in was very heavy with dark furniture and heavy decorations - definiteley not my taste. I had a snack... More

Dear KrigGB Thank you for your review regarding your stay with us but I am not sure you were fully aware of what style of hotel or location you were coming to. Indeed Crathorne Hall is a grand home bulit in 1906 by the Dugdale family, so it is a home with great history and design that offers a more... More

The setting of this hotel is great, the room, size, decor etc is also very good. Althought, cracked glass in the windows, and a pane covered with plastic film was really bad, the sash also did not work and the window had to be propped open with a cup. At £170 a night not great (Leven room). I have had... More

Dear Simply_bloke Thank you for your review and it was kind of you to comment on the points you raised which as you say compared to other reviews seemed to be out of line against the high standard of friendly service we strive to offer. I can confirm that the pane had broke on the day of your stay due... More

Stayed at this hotel with hubby for a couple of nights - beautiful setting. Some work being undertaken after a fire last year but this did not detract at all from our stay. Room was fantastic, large and tatsteful was up 2 large flights of stairs but we are young(ish) so wasn't a problem for us! Staff were really friendly,... More
