i have stayed here on previous occasions and it is a modern functional hotel, extra coffee compared to other properties in the chain, bonus. The big let down was the wi-if connection or lack thereof. Having paid to use the wifi I could only get a battery of low bandwidth warnings from my iPad meaning that the only thing I... More

Travelodge are taking money under false pretences! I specifically reserved a room with disabled access as my husband needs accessible facilities. When we arrived we discovered that the room had a bath, with shower over the bath. My husband cannot climb into a bath. How on earth can they claim to have accessible rooms when disabled people cannot make use... More

We stayed in a family room with our two young sons. We were at the front of the hotel and it wasn't noisy. The room was spacious and clean. It's a good place to stay to go into York. Just fine! We had breakfast at the Little Chef just across the car park, not eaten in one for years and... More

Booked a room here only to arrive and find we were allocated Room 1 which seemed to amuse the receptionist for some reason. It turned out to be the disabled access room - not an issue in itself, but the entrance to the room was directly off the reception corridor meaning every single person entering the hotel has to walk... We have used this Travelodge before as it is the perfect location for visiting York. Drive to the nearby Askham Park and Ride. For 2 adults it will cost you £5.40 return and is only about 6-7 miles away with buses every few minutes.

We stayed one night on our way to Whitby. The hotel was easy to find and was clean and to the standard expected of a Travel Lodge. We were on the side facing the road and it could become noisy especially in summer if you wanted the window open. A good value place to stay with no frills

A welcoming hotel on the outskirts of York. If you don't mind driving in to York, then a good place to stay as it is in a main route in to the City. Staff very engaging and helpful, and a very good Little Chef next door.
