Arkengarthdale is magnificent. And what's better than having a couple of beers after a nice walk? This place is bustling and the staff are always friendly. It feels warm and inviting as you first walk in and there's some lovely comfortable seating downstairs, so you can just chillax!

We stayed here in July, the weekend after the TdF, and had a great time. We stayed in room 7 which is a large room over the bar facing front. The noise didn't bother us as we went to bed quite late, i.e. after 11:30. Food both nights was excellent and the breakfast is fantastic. Helpful, friendly service. It's true... More

We had booked in with an art group for 1 week but went 3 days early to get the feel of the place. The setting is wonderful, in a little known Yorkshire dale, the nearest pretty hamlet Langthwaite is in easy walking distance, and the nearest village is Reeth 3 miles away. The staff were all extremely helpful, without exception... More

Dear Mr Stewart - we are sorry that you didn't enjoy your Sunday lunch with us . We did indeed know that your party were coming but at the time of booking we were told that 30 of you would all be arriving at different times and ordering separately and therefore eating at different times . As it happened you... More

My wife & I stayed at the CB for a two night Groupon break. Wish we had made it 3! The drive there is interesting. Make sure you go through Richmond. Our GPS took us on some back roads that were unnecessary. We were greeted and shown to a very spacious room (#8). It was very bright and well presented.... More

Stayed here 7 years ago so we knew that we would enjoy ourselves. The scenery is just as lovely, the food is equally tasty, and since we slept like logs the beds must also be as comfortable as our previous stay. The food is actually VERY good. Seafood starters were delicious - mussels, gravlax, all fresh and perfectly cooked. Mains... More

Situated in Arkengarthdale, near to Reeth and Swaledale the CB Inn is perfect for anyone who wants some peace and quiet and great hiking. Great views along the valley. Walks from the door. Very comfortable rooms, with an eye to detail. Excellent food - best to pre book as it is very popular. Comfortable bar area with a good atmosphere,... More

Stayed here with husband and two teenage children. The room was comfortable nd the bed very luxurious. The bar is so welcoming and the food was absolutely delicious. The staff are really friendly. Beautiful breakfast. It's isolated in some beautiful countryside. Really got a get away from it all feel. Excellent

We have eaten here at the CB many times over the years but this was our first stay and we were not disappointed. The room we stayed in was fabulous. The staff were really good, particularly Michael. The food was excellent and plentiful in portion size. Loved the homemade biscuits on the tea tray and the bed was super comfortable... More
