My husband and I booked a one night stay in the CB Inn. We decided to have a superior room as the difference in price didn't seem that much. On arrival, the CB Inn looks like an ordinary pub/inn, also on the inside it looks like you'd expect it to too. Not anything special. We booked in and were shown... more

This was the second time we've been to the CB Inn, and we loved it. We had a much better room this time, a big one looking towards Reeth, and although we could have done with a bath, we loved it. Gripes are: surly eastern European staff, not brilliant breakfast (cold and hard poached eggs), and pretty basic bathroom (ancient... more

We have stayed at the CB many times and have always found the staff extremely helpful, the food superb, the scenery to die for - overall a wonderful relaxing pub to spend time unwinding. more

This is the second time we have stayed here. Our room the first time, in the older part of the inn was much nicer. Room 19 was looking a little tired and it lacks sound proofing - we could hear everyword the couple next door uttered as well as their tv at 7am on a Saturday morning - not a... more

We stayed at the CB Inn Arkengarthdale in January when it was very cold and snowing at times. The log fire in the bar was very welcoming and provided a pleasant atmosphere. It was our first visit to CB's but some of the group we were with (4 Couples) had visited several times previously and I can now understand why.... more

This is the second time our shooting party have stayed here. It is a well organised pub with good food. (They were able to cook us Grouse as a special one night). Breakfast too is good and served pretty swiftly. Rooms are a bit basic, but for the price fine. My room was nicer this year than last year: Whether... more

Spent two nights of indulgence here and thoroughly enjoyed it! The room was spacious (a large superior double, I think) and stylish with a really comfortable bed and the bathroom had a brilliant shower and lovely Molton Brown products. The bar/restaurant had a good atmosphere, the food was delicious and the service, even though they were very busy, was prompt.... more

Eight of us stayed two nights in this remote part of Northern England on one of CB Inn's Dinner, Bed and Breakfast special offers. The food in the evening was first class and the breakfast was beautifully prepared to order with a wide range of choices including kippers, great porridge and their own yoghurt. The location of the Inn is... more

Situated in a fantastic area especially for walkers, the CB Inn is a haven. Very comfortable rooms, pleasant and helpful staff and superb value meals. We are not usually keen on "special events" dinners but the "Valentines day" dinner was a really great experience. Not used as an opportunity to sell basic food hidden by a rose, but a major... more

It was a cold wintery weekend at The CB but the welcome was warm and friendly which made up for it. A fantastic area for walking and the open fire in the bar was most welcoming on our return. The food was fantastic served in a rustic & cosy environment. The rooms were very comfortable and molton brown in the... more
