We stayed for one night and the size of the room was nice, but the décor quite dated. Soon after we checked in the power suddenly went off in our room, so I went down the bar and the lady came back up to the room with me. She determined that it was the main trip switch going for our... More

My husband and I stumbled across this Inn a couple of years ago and promised to go back (minus the children) to spend some time there. We stayed in the room with the half four poster bed. The room was very quaint, however for the cost I did feel there were a few negatives; staining on the carpet; couldn't open... More

I booked this pub about 8 weeks prior to the dates required and found that the family room wasn't available but they accommodated us by putting up a bed in another room and allowing us to take the dog into this room which was not normally allowed. The staff here are amazingly helpful and very friendly and will go out... More

Staff were polite, warm, welcoming and friendly. Room clean and comfortable with all you need, including a very comfortable bed - I slept soundly which is unusual for me when in a strange bed. Breakfasts are substantial with something to suit everyone - quality of the bacon and sausage much better than usual fare at such establishments. I had just... More

We stayed at this delightful Inn for 3 days and it was first class, the rooms were big and comfortable the food was excellent and the owners and the staff couldnt do enough for you and the walking was a bonus. I would recommend this to anyone. We look forward to going back.

My wife and I drove up to Aysgarth from Skipton through some of the most beautiful countryside I've ever seen. We were hungry and thirsty when we got there and went into the George and Dragon. The inn is a delight and the food, although expensive, was first class. I have seen similar on Tom Kerridge's TV programme and I... More

The pub is more of a food place than a beer pub. The standard is up to a top quality restaurant, the rooms are very large and roomy, with large bathroom and good quality toiletries. I would be very happy to return for an excellent meal and top quality rooms.

This hotel is located right off the main road passing through the village of Asgarth. The rooms vary hugely, so pick carefully ( or don't get fobbed off with a small one- the prices are exactly the same). The restaurant was busy, but the service was unduly slow and staff seem somewhat cold. Food was fine, but overpriced.

Stopped here after visiting Aysgarth Falls and on way to Wensleydale, had the most delicious sandwiches and enjoyed wonderful hospitality. Lovely cosy welcome and would certainly recommend. Although we just had sandwiches on this occasion the menu looked interesting and good value for money

This pub is ok. It's very expensive to stay in, the rooms are of a good quality but small and only have showers. You can find much much better for a cheaper price. The bar is very small and not particularly friendly. It's really a restaurant waiting room. I was on a cycling holiday and asked if they had bike... More
