My wife and I have just returned from 3 nights at The Traddock; we stayed in the Ingleborough room (11) on the top floor of this spacious, beautiful old house. What a treat - comfortable spacious rooms with lots of character, plenty of places to sit downstairs and contemplate dinner, lovely gardens inviting you outside, and great staff who can't... More

Stayed for 3 nights on half board basis. Room 1 was near perfect and we wouldn't have wanted to change a thing. Staff very friendly, warm and welcoming. We found 2 of the pork dishes to be over-cooked but otherwise food was excellent (lamb exquisite). Owners very apologetic about the pork and offered a discount accordingly. Breakfast great. The building... More

Had booked into the hotel with my dog in order to do a long walk along the Leeds-Liverpool canal the following day. Following a lovely meal in the restaurant I had taken the dog for his pre bed walk (public footpaths on the doorstep). I managed to fall in a field twisting my ankle. Managed to hobble back to the... Arrived cold and wet through after a long cycle ride and the reception staff immediately handed us a large fluffy towel - what a nice welcome! Our room was huge with the biggest comfiest bed I can remember. Very good tea and coffee in the room with home- made biscuits. When recovered we dined in the hotel, after drinks in... More

we visited for a weekend with our 6 month old puppy, Poppy. The hotel is really pretty with lovely gardens, cosy bar/lounge areas and very pleasant rooms. The bathroom was well equipped with lovely Molton Brown products and fluffy towels. The room had nice tea and coffee making facilities with fresh milk and homemade biscuits. The bed was comfy and... This hotel was recommended to us as being similar to a wonderful hotel (now closed) in the Yorkshire Dales that we used to really enjoy. It certainly met our hopes and expectations. It is in a lovely Dales village surrounded be beautiful country for walking. The service was first class and breakfast outstanding. Our room (no 6) had a pleasant... More

This is the second time I've stayed here and it's a beautiful building with comfortable rooms, in a wonderful rural setting and with excellent staff. Breakfast was very good but the evening meal was disappointing as it lacked flavour and wasn't as good as the last time I stayed here a few years ago.

We spent three nights here. The hotel is extremely comfortable with a lovely garden. It is not too big yet has lots of public spaces in which to relax. Rooms are cosy and decorated in keeping with the period of the building. We had a dinner, B and B package. The food was very good. The staff were superb. Helpful... More

Yorkshire Dales is a lovely place. The Traddock is nestled in the corner of Austwick and we almost missed it. We arrived at about 8 pm and despite dinner service closing in another 30 minutes, our request to have dinner there was accommodated without fuss. Our room on the third level was the smallest among the 6 hotels we have... More

My wife and me recently spent two nights at the Traddock- parts of which date back to 18th century and were blessed with perfect weather. Situated in the Dales National Park made our stay in one of England's little jewels truly memorable. The walk we took up hill and down dale through Oxember bluebell Wood was the icing on the...
