After much searching for the right venue we stumbled across the Traddock by accident. On initial inspection we were very impressed and decided to go ahead and book the hotel for our big day. We were not disappointed. The manager Paul assumed the role of wedding organiser for us and was helpful and professional in every respect. We would say... more

As part of a group of 10, I can say on behalf of all of us that we had a wonderful weekend at the Traddock. Arriving at lunchtime on a very cold Friday, we were offered fresh coffee and a chance to warm up by the log fire while the receptionist checked that our rooms were free. The rooms were... more

Stayed one night £90 double room B&B on Laterooms. Bedroom clean, nice toiletries, tea & coffee making with fresh milk, free bottle of water. Had evening meal in restaurant, which was really nice, excellent service, 3 courses cost £60 for two. Plenty of choice at breakfast. Bar & lounge area very nice with open fire. Only negative was bathroom which... more

We stayed at the Traddock for two nights for my birthday weekend. I can understand why it gets such high ratings, because it is a sweet, friendly and well presented hotel in a great location.... but it didn't quite live up to its promise for us. Firstly the good points: The Staff: very friendly, very helpful, and a credit to... more

Thankfully, this is not a clinical establishment with staff that read from scripts, I found everyone polite and keen to help; the evening meal was fantastic (the tenderest organic steak off the specials menu) and the room tastefully presented with en-suite. Although the Breakfast service was busy it ran smoothly and the food set me up for the day. The... more

Perfect location. Warm welcome... and cosiness all round from the entrance hall with a log fire and the smell of fresh lilies to the well heated hallways ( wonderful on a cold rainy March day) and our inviting room with the door open, lights ablaze and the radiator full on! We especially appreciated the generous Molton Brown goodies, a cafetiere... more

I stayed for a weekend at the Traddock with my mother: I had the hotel's only single room (actually a 'bijou' double which would have been fine for two people for a night), and my mother had Room 4. The beds in both rooms were wonderfully comfortable, with lovely bed linen, towels and toiletries. Yes, the bathrooms are small, but... more

The hotel is situated in a lovely village and has fabulous views over the countryside. Inside, the hotel is welcoming and the public rooms are tastefully and comfortably decorated. The restaurant is excellent and we thoroughly enjoyed the food. We stayed in room10 and, as other reviewers have commented ,the bathroom set up is barely adequate. We would not stay... more
