Visited with family, five of us in total. Waitress looked after us well. Food was reasonable but not imaginative even though there was a good "specials" board. No other customers were using the place so it was lacking in atmosphere. Would only describe this restaurant as ok.

Four of us stayed on a Saturday night as part of a 2-day cycling trip. The rooms were very nice, spacious and clean. The staff were friendly and very helpful (and they let us store our bikes in a secure outbuilding). A decent selection of good real ales and a first class breakfast (top marks for the sausages) – what... More

Visited this hotel on two occasions recently. On both were made to feel really welcome. Accommodation excellent, clean well laid out, and bathroom clean and spacious. Food was excellent, well prepared, good selection and well presented. Prices were in line for a hotel of this standard. Although Alford is a very small town in Lincolnshire, about 16 miles from Skegness,... More

Always have a good stay in this hotel. spacious rooms, fantastic showers, lovely and helpful staff. A lovely restaurant which caters for most taste at reasonable prices. Breakfast a real treat sausages are outstanding but all ingredients are cooked to perfection. If you are in the area and are stopping over i would highly recommend this hotel.

My wife and I booked direct online and was surprised to see the price of £90 for a one night stay including breakfast. As we were going to a funeral we had little choice in sleepy Alford. We were please with the room which was large and very clean if a little dated. We didn't eat at the restaurant as... More

We visited this country inn on a Tuesday evening and were treated to a warm welcome, nice table and good advice about the food. Garlic mushrooms and squid were great as starters. My husband is a rib expert and declared them to be superb. My haddock was well cooked and made a good main course without being too massive. All... More

Stayed for one night. Great spacious and clean room. For our evening meal we were greeted quite frostily. They also needed to put some music on in the restaurant to create a nicer atmosphere. The food was a little overpriced.

Ok the decor is definitely retro but it serves the best pint of Batemans in town. The menu is a tad pricey is varied and the food is served where and when you like it, either in the bar area or the restaurant. The places tries it's best to be a hub of the community by hosting loads of local... More
