We stayed here for a weekend, whilst visiting relatives. It was conveniently centre way between both sets, so positioning was fine. It's a mid-size hotel, an old house converted and extended and well, if not recently, decorated. We thought it was understaffed for a Friday night - the same person was dealing with reception, the bar and the restaurant but... More

Stayed at the Quorn Lodge for 2 nights while attending a wedding in Melton and there were several issues with the establishment which were noted by myself and others in our party. The experience really started before arrival. I had called earlier in the week to enquire about booking a table at the hotel restaurant for 5pm on the Friday... More

I would like to point out that our check in time is 2.00pm. Contrary to the statement we did NOT know the wedding was at 1.00pm, nor a coach was collecting at 12.00. We only had individual details of the staying guests. Housekeepers, work till 2.00pm and then they have their own personal commitments, and to suggest that the rooms... More

This was our first stay at Quorn Lodge. I am a regular with Hotels like Hilton & Marriott around this area but I would rate my stay here better as Quorn Lodge has a charm and homely feeling to it. The staff are extremely friendly and welcoming, the resteraunt 'Flaours of India' served the best Indian food I have eaten... More

Our family stayed for three nights at Quorn Lodge and had an enjoyable stay. We were attending a wedding in Melton and the staff were very friendly and accommodating providing iron etc, late check in and bar meals . The breakfast was excellent. It was nice to have a comfortable lounge where the family could gather and relax. The free... More

We booked for 1 nights stay, for after our visit to the Bird Fair at Rutland Water. The room it was large, very clean and contained everything we needed. Although it was up 2 flights of stairs (with no lift) we managed OK. Perhaps not suitable for anyone with mobility problems, but if mentioned at the time of booking, I'm... More

Normally we read the reviews before booking but this time we did it the other way round, after we had read some of the reviews we were a bit apprehensive. Upon arrival we were pleasantly suprised by the size and cleanliness of the room and bathroom, and facilties in the room (fridge) We ate an excellent Indian meal in the... More

We stayed at Quorn Lodge a couple of months back and enjoyed every bit of it. The hotel is very charming and the staff friendly. The Restaurant had some lovely Indian food , home cooked and very tasty! However , being a vegetarian I did feel that they could do a few extra veggie dishes. I would love to go... More

I'm not going to spend a lot more of my time on this dire hotel, suffice to say it was old fashioned to the point of being in disrepair. I turned up early as our plans had changed after a long drive starting very early in the morning. I had hoped that I could get in the room early and... More

The hotel 'specialises' in Indian food the 5 of us had ever tasted (and like most people we've had some bad ones). The chicken kebabs looked like grilled tampons, the lamb curry was like a 1950s school stew with curry powder added. The samosas appeared to contain baby sick and breads had clearly been bought out of a multi-hundred pack... More

Our speciality is A La Carte and grills and the second chef(Indian) makes a limited number of curries which do not include curry powder, colouring or preservatives, but carefully selected spices and herbs to enhance the taste. The salt and oil content in our food is very much reduced following health concerns. I have eaten in some good places throughout... More
