If you want a relaxing place to stay whilst visiting the area, then this is the place for you. We had a lovely first floor room with a balcony and stunning views over the garden and surrounding countryside. There's no formal dining room as you have your own kitchen area with everything provided which you can add to if you... More

A very pleasant stay in this delightful country house. We were met by Jude who gave us a very warm welcome, was very attentive to our needs and made sure we understood where every this was including the entry to a delightful garden. This was a very pleasant stay and could easily have stayed for several days if we had... More

Stayed here last month just for one night, very comfortable warm and cosy rooms, the bedding was crisp and clean bathroom also, A small kitchenette stocked with all your needs for breakfast. The first time ever I have stayed at a guesthouse that allowed guests to take in their own food and drinks it was such a pleasent stay. Also... More

Stayed here with friend to see Bay City Rollers at theatre so didn't want to drive home, wanted to relax and have a drink. What a lovely place. Read the reviews so was hoping it lived up to expectations, well it did for us. Our room was lovely. Small but fine for one night, comfortable and homely, was great to... More

Our party of 6 were attending a wedding and booked into this little gem of a place. A stunning 1920s home with beautiful gardens. Our room (The Yellow Room) was a bargain and had self catering facilities in the bedroom, with stunning views over the countryside and a little private balcony. June gave us a guided tour and was so... More

Stayed here for a night in August 13, and have to say, what a beautiful Country house and the people that run it, are charming, they made us most welcome and couldn't have been nicer. Great value, good location and stunning views, a great little hotel !

I think the website gives a false impression of this slightly uninspiring but very convenient guest house. We stayed for two nights while attending the British Birdwatching fair at Rutland Water and it was an ideal base. The minimalist name plate over the door makes it a little tricky to find and after 10 minutes ringing the bell we opened... More

Our family of 4 plus a family friend occupied 3 rooms for 2 nights as we were attending a wedding nearby. The Grange is old fashioned in it's furnishings and decor but not unpleasant. The room was clean, the bedding and towels smelled lovely and fresh. The breakfast items provided were adequate and, generally, we felt it constituted good value... More

A pleasure to stay here, friendly hosts with lovely peaceful surroundings. The room was tastefully decorated in traditional style with the added bonus of self catering facilities. Normally that wouldn't bother us but being at the BIrdfair nearby all day meant we just used the microwave for convenience without having to go out again. ( Main meal, side and dessert... More

We stayed here for one night for a family wedding and upon arrival our car developed a problem which meant we would have been unable to get to the church. The manageress and her husband went out of their way to make sure that we got to the ceremony in time. They couldn't have been more helpful. What lovely people!... More
