Stayed overnight whilst visiting the Prestwold Driving Centre which is only 15 mins. away. Accommodation is at the rear of the pub with parking directly outside the room. Room was very modern with king sized bed and walk in shower. Only down side of the room was the outside door which needs a stronger soft closing mechanism and the drawers... More

Had heard many good things about the Royal Oak, both by family and friends. Went with the other half for an anniversary meal, and was certainly impressed by the food. We only had room for 2 courses in the end (rare for me!) We started with the Tapas sharer, which had a great range of meats, cheese and roasted peppers,... More

i have stayed at this establishment recently and am absolutely aghast at one of the latest reviews. I arrived at nine o'clock, a little tired on a business trip. I was shown to my room by a very nice young lady. I settled in, popped the tele on and then read the booklet re guest information. Breakfast was from 0700... More

I chose an overnight stay at this B&B for its location and availability of a hot breakfast as my daughter and I were travelling to the Nottingham university for an open day at Sutton Bonnington. It was a long 4 hours drive from London and we arrived around 8:30 pm. We checked in, had something to eat then went to... More

When booking I mentioned that I was on a Vegan diet, they said it was no problem, so I left it with the Chef to surprise me with a meal. SURPRISED I WAS, what an amazing meal one of the best I have ever had, worthy of a Michelin Star. Could not believe how much of an effort they made... More

I stayed at the royal oak for one night to attend a nearby wedding. The royal oak is very close to long whatton gardens and is well located if going to east mids airport or loughborough. The rooms look like they have recently been built and are spacious with nice bathrooms and good sized beds. We had both an evening... More

Stayed for 2 nights whilst visiting the Prestwold Driving experience. The hotel was very clean, the staff were very helpful and friendly. We ate in the restaurant both nights and the food was superb. My husband is a coeliac and his needs were catered for excellently. The poached eggs at breakfast were perfect. we would definitely stay again if were... More

Group of five went for Sunday lunch - first visit to Loughborough and looking forward to it given some of the good reviews on trip advisor. Service was good - both the young ladies were courteous and polite. Afraid the food was exceptionally disappointing : Beef Sunday lunch : Beef was tough and virtually no gravy to support the Yorkshire... More

Five of us went for Sunday Lunch - service and food excellent - I'm coeliac and to be catered for without exclusion makes a huge difference round here ! I live locally and often eat out and we'll definitely be going back soon….

Working lunch, met two colleagues and found this place on Tripadvisor. Very friendly service, accommodated an extra body despite being busy. The menu is well priced and appears quite standard until the food arrives! Fantastic chicken caeser, beautifully presented. Lovely idea to serve the sandwiches with an option of soup or chips. Chips were fab. Hope to spend many more... More
