We turned up on spec and had a warm welcome, probably from the lady about whom other reviewers have made positive comments. The room was comfortable, had a real bath (a definite plus) and she cooked us an excellent breakfast. There didn't seem to be anything happening in the restaurant but we weren't looking for a meal and there are... More

Well what a let down. The website should be shut down, infact shut down the hotel. There was no restaurant, the carpet was thread bare, the hotel smelt musty. Part of the hotel was falling down. The only saving grace was the receptionist who booked us in and made our breakfast. She deserves a medal, for working there. What a... More

The website is very misleading. We had booked two nights here SOLELY on the basis of an evening meal in the restaurant. However, when we arrived, we were informed that the hotel was "between chefs" and there were no evening meals available. The lady on the front desk would be cooking our breakfasts. The rooms were a good size and... More

The staff is absolutely hospitable and charming at the Fallen Knight and it’s so very difficult to rate the Fallen Knight poorly because of it. However, this facility is worn out and in need of serious repair. Hard to know, but furnishings and flooring must have been last installed decades ago? Most hallways with carpeting throughout the facility show wear... More

To be clear this review is further back than date I had to enter. Sorry to see this place still has a bad review. I stayed here for work too, and was some years back now. It was terrible, dirty feeling and low, low standard. I recall mould in bathroom and poor carpets and bedding. But we ate an evening... More

I had to stay in Fallen Knight because it was convenient for the company I was visiting. The price was high considering the standard of the hotel. The cleanliness was below average and there were dead flies in my bathroom. The biggest problem was that the Wi-Fi did not work and other guests, like me, were seen struggling, moving about... More
