Stayed one night at The Crown and it was fantastic, the food the night before and in the moning were spot on, coulnt fault it. The room was very clean and was asthetically pleasing, the shower wasnt brilliant thought but apart from that i had a great experience and will definately be returning and recommending.

Really enjoyed meeting up with five friends in this lovely country restaurant. Food was excellent and everyone was impressed by the quality and service. I had the Nicoise salad which was delicious. It looked so good I took a photo! Tempted as usual by the fabulous steaks on offer at the butcher's block but managed to resist on this occassion.... More

I felt compelled to write this review after reading some of the other negative reviews on here. I have eaten at the crown 3 Times in the last 6 months and each time the food has been lovely, the service good and the prices have been fair! I would happily recommend the crown to anyone who likes good food and... More

Our first visit to the Crown, recommended by a friend and was not disappointed. Was welcomed by the very helpfull staff. Our room was clean and well equiped, cant believe there are still family run establishments like this that offer a service level like this for £40.00 a night. The evening meal was of a higher quality than we expected... More

Small portions and very over priced meals for a pub, service poor staff/owner to busy talking to other members of staff sorting out rotas instead of serving customers. Waited 45mins for meals and to be honest not worth the wait, burnt warmed up food, complained and all we got was a voucher for £10 off food at our next visit,... More

I stay in hotels and pub based accom' every week and usually book through Laterooms. I expect a warm welcome, a clean room, fresh sheets and a friendly, welcoming atmosphere. This was my first stay here and I was not disappointed. It frustrates me when people write on here about investment, make over etc and yet want a bargain price... More
