This place is absolutely disgusting! As soon as you walk in, you are hit with the smell of damp and mould. The reception area had a trail of crisps throughout the main carpeted area, that were still there (now nicely trodden in) the morning I left. I thought the rooms would be better, and as I was only staying one... More

Stayed here for a family reunion, part of a very large group. The old adage, you get what you pay for is never far from my mind and my expectations weren't surpassed here. The main thing from our point of view was somewhere central to the family scattered throughout the UK and this area was at the focal point and... More

we booked a National Holidays Break to Manchester and Skipton Markets - Saturday 6th December we stayed here. The hotel looked fine from the outside but on entering the place looks tired and in need of some good TLC. The staff i found were very polite but all seemed to be very young and when you had a question they... More

Just returned from W/E Manchester & Skipton Xmas Markets with National Holidays. Stayed at Brittania Hotel at Standish, Wigan. Before we went we had read a bad report on Trip Advisor. Just like to say, ignore negative reports, we can only speak as we found. Our room was clean, spacious & warm. Plenty of hot water too. The hotel had... More

Omg what an experience. We had the misfortune of staying here on a National Holiday Weekend away. If it wasn't for seeing Enrique In concert the weekend would have been an utter disaster. Within 5 minutes of arrival we were on our 3 room. The whole of the place was filthy, i didn't feel safe with all the male gangs... More

My wife and I stayed for one night and that was one night too many. The lady at check-in was fine and we had no problems in that regard. The lounge area immediately next to check-in was full of what I presumed to be asylum seekers or other immigrants. They were lounging about and whilst they did not cause any... More

We used the hotel for a seminar, and the hotel provided exactly what they promised. The seminar rooms are not over the top with luxury, but more than adequate. The buffet meals suited our delegates perfectly, and those that stayed at the hotel said the rooms were of a good size and standard, although not exactly re furnished yesterday. More... More
