Stayed for a night with wife and daughter in a family room. Lovely room well furnished and nicely equipped. Room was clean and tidy, the staff we saw were polite. Parking was ok. Minor complaints, room was clean but could have bee better in bathroom but it was ok, bar was not open, but I'm sure if I had asked... More

My son and I had to move out of our house due to a flood. We moved into the sykeside and could not have been looked after any better. It is a lovely hotel run by a lovely family. Food is fantastic. I could not recommend this hotel more. Thank you so much

Stayed for one night as we were attending a birthday party nearby. We were nervous as the location is not exactly countryside as suggested by the hotel name( it's on a major roundabout opposite a huge Tesco) but we were very pleasantly surprised. It was a beautiful, friendly hotel and the executive rooms were well worth their price. The bathroom... More

We stayed for one night as we were guests at a wedding and the wedding reception was being held here. Our double standard room and en suite was lovely. Well equipped with tea making facilities and toiletries. Much better than some more expensive hotels we gave stayed in recently. The wedding meal and breakfast were both very good. I would... More

When we have overseas visitors come to see us on business here in the Rossendale Valley they choose to stay at the Sykeside Country House Hotel. Everyone who has stayed there has been happy with the cost and the service and have alway's asked to stay at this hotel whenever they visit us again. As well as business guests we... More

We had a wedding party to go to in Haslingden on Valentine's night so we asked the groom to recommend a place to stay, he suggested here. We booked on a room only basis as my husband was working the next morning & would have to leave early. I decided to arrive in the afternoon as the forecast was not... More

A wonderful family New Year's Eve spent at this hotel. From the spotlessly clean room, to tasty pre dinner drinks followed by a beautiful 4 course dinner, this was a great way to enjoy a relaxing and entertaining New Year's Eve. Fellow guests seemed to be regular diners at the restaurant and I can understand why. With friendly and pleasant... More

We stayed here for 1 night... (as part of our travels) The car park is down a short drive overlooking the traffic island and Tesco. As such you have to carry all your luggage a short distance uphill. (There was several women right outside the front door chatting, (however they did stand aside for us to drive past) so we... More

The service we received today 23/12/13 was amazing at this hotel. Our party enjoyed a 3 course Christmas meal and everything was hot, beautiful cooked and well presented, especially the lamb it just fell off the bone. There was no waiting for other members of our party to get their meal, we all received our meal together and .the staff... More

When you enter the hotel, it is like stepping into a concentrated Body Shop and Lush combined. The place reeks of cheap scent. The room was a good size with a large well-fitted bathroom. The hotel stands overlooking a busy roundabout. There was no sound from the traffic which was good. But you could not let open the windows to... More
