I have stayed at this Hotel before.and I am always impressed. The Hotel is situated in beautiful countryside with distant views of the Yorkshire Peaks. The interior of the hotel is furnished to create an informal country house feel. The staff are always very helpful, and the food and service very good.

The photo of the hotel is stunning but my room was actually in a 1970's looking accommodation block to the side not in the historic building itself. This made me think 'Oh no!'. However the room was absolutely fine with a lovely countryside view and most importantly for me it was very peaceful and quiet The staff here are simply... More

This has got to be the best hotel I have EVER stayed in. Wonderful friendly staff, delightful accommodation, and, best of all....... a dog friendly hotel with acres of grounds where our beloved pets can run free. My two lovely dogs had the most wonderful time in this wildlife heaven and the hotel staff even provided a goody bag for... More

Recently spent 2 nights here and wished we could have stayed longer. Booked a room in the seperate lodge building as we had our dog with us , room was lovely and the bed was enormous and comfortable. We were on a dinner bed and breakfast tariff and the food was superb All the staff were extremely friendly and helpful... More

I cannot fault the food or the service. They offer a fabulous dining experience and will continue to dine here in the future. My only disappointment was the lack of extra touches that they once offered and made it a truly special occasion. At one time, the offered free sorbet between the starter and main course and with dessert they... More

We were extremely impressed with all aspects of what we required for this stay. From the welcome from the receptionist on arrival and all the other staff. Our room was very large and spotless. I have to agree that the waiting staff are a little bit lapse and talking to each other instead of serving customers. The food though for... More

Recently stayed with the team at Stirk House as I was attending the wedding of some close friends. My room allocation was in The Lodge, which appeared to be an old barn building converted into additional guest rooms. This was an added bonus for me as my room was completely separate to the main building, so no chance of being... More

Stayed here quite a lot with work, fantastic building but some rooms are looking tired, WiFi is hit miss in the rooms but good in public areas, amazing breakfasts, great service, good parking, small fitness centre with pool, restaurant menu could use a couple of classic dishes as a lot of the dishes are very rich. Good value during the... More

A warm welcome awaits at Stirk House Hotel. The welcome included a gift bag for the dogs, a nice touch. Staff are all very friendly - nothing was too much trouble. Following a great evening meal in the restaurant it was lovely to be able to relax in the bar with our dogs for company! Before breakfast we explored the... More
