I booked this overnight stay for my partners birthday - we stayed in a beautiful suite called the Gisburn Suite which had its own lounge and large whirlpool bath ! We enjoyed a stroll around the grounds - they were beautiful and we had a wonderful meal in the evening , the food was excellent and the staff where so... More

My daughter and I stayed for one night with our dog, Daisy. It seems that dog owners are accommodated in the adjoining lodge which is completely separate from the hotel. On arrival, first impressions were very good. The main building is picture perfect, a historic building with beautiful gardens and extensive grounds arrived at via a winding driveway from the... I took my daughter here as a treat for afternoon tea. We liked the sound of the menu as the desserts were little different from the usual afternoon tea. We were brought toast and honey to begin with which I found a little odd but fine. Then the full afternoon tea was brought which looked lovely. However bbq chicken wings... More

Have been stopping here monthly for the last 11 years and it has always been fantastic. The best trained friendly staff of any establishment I have seen. The food is consistently excellent. Although I don't normally eat breakfast I make an effort here as it is the best I have seen. Sometimes bring the dog as there are great walks... More

Stayed overnight. Decor of room wasn't great and could have done with an upgrade. However it was dog friendly with some lovely walks. Evening meal far exceeded our expectations, really very tasty. Bit worried as there was a Wedding party but we were in the rooms outside the hotel and didn't hear a thing.

We stayed here in June as we were atending a wedding. Dissapointing room for the price charged. Very basic with no bath. Food was good and the breakfast next morning was excellent. Did not try the pool. Good amount of car parking but very geared to the wedding market...in fact as we were all checking out there was another wedding... More

Booked a room the day before - last minute decision. Called in Clitheroe on the way for lunch. A really good idea and a lovely town. The hotel is excellent. The main building dates from the 1600s and looks lovely as you drive up. Reception was very welcoming, we were booked into an annexe which disappointed us at first but... More

We called in for a lunchtime snack with our dog.The grounds are great for a walk, very well kept. We ordered a chicken sandwich which I have to say is the best chicken sandwich we have eaten in a long time,it was followed by an excellent piece of fruitcake. The Staff were very friendly and service was very good.Dogs are very... More

I recently stayed at the Stirk House Hotel and was very impressed with the politeness of the staff. In specific, Tasha Craig was very welcoming and was very easy to talk to along with her sister April. These two were the main members of staff i interacted with and defiantly have made me want to come back. I also met... More
