We were greeted by Mary, very warm and welcoming persona,we were treated to afternoon tea in the lounge,we had a lovely conversation with Mary, then her husband arrived,Howard,he introduced his self,we found him to be a very nice chap, with an incredibly dry sense of humour, which we found very humorous and appealing. We were then shown to our room (8) we could not... More

Stayed with friends for one night with dinner at La Locanda on the £99 deal and it was wonderful. Cannot fault it at all. The hosts make it look easy (I,m sure its not!!) with their laid back but professional approach. They even loaned us the beautifully decorated lounge and wine glasses to consume our own wine before our visit... More

Stayed here last Friday as part of the current deal which includes a lovely meal at La Locanda. Arrived from the horrendous rain to a courteous greeting from a lovely young lady who kindly shown myself and my other half our room, Room 3, which was beautifully decorated incorporating georgian with a twist of the modern. Howard quickly introduced himself... More

I have stayed at the Park House hotel a couple of times now and each time I've been blown away with how much the owners and staff have made our stay an absolute pleasure. My most recent stay was the night before my wedding. My bridesmaids, parents and I were incredibly well looked after by Howard and his team. They... More

Just returned from visit to Park House with its warm Lancashire welcome. Beatifully decorated rooms and excellent breakfast. Excellent value for money as well. Hosts are attentive and friendly and the service could not be faulted. Throughly recommend a visit to this stunning B&B in wonderful Lancashire countryside.

All the other reviews say it all - perfectly presented old world style in a beautiful part of the country. Stayed there one night as a result of a double booking at a near by hotel. I was working locally and always get into work for 7.30, which was well before the advertised breakfast. However, on hearing I had to... More

The other reviews say it all - this really is a 5* hotel masquerading as a Lancashire B&B. Mine hosts Mary and Howard were attentive and extremely helpful and I'd be surprised if the Omelette Arnold Bennett at the Savoy is as good as the ones we breakfasted on. The village and the surrounding Lancashire countryside are similar to the... More

We stayed with a group of friends and enjoyed every aspect of the visit . Nothing was too much trouble for Howard and Mary who were extremely welcoming . Tea and home made cake were served on arrival - glasses were provided and prosecco ( purchased at nearby deli by us) chilled and served on the garden terrace . Room... More

Not only is this the best B&B but it has a special deal with La Locanda Italian restaurant which makes it an amazing deal with some of the best Italian food in the North. Not only that but Mary and Howard are friendly and gracious hosts. We will be back even if we have to go on a serious diet... More
