I had to stay over in the area unexpectedly on business. The 1st hotel was full but I was pointed in the direction of the White Bull. What an absolute delight ! The room was comfortable, warm and homely. Deciding to check out the restaurant I chose the fillet steak and was very pleased with the quality and also the... More

We called in on a couple of occasions for a drink, lovely warm welcome. Lovely staff & landlady, very chatty & welcoming! We had planned our week so disappointed they were shut on a Monday as we planned to have lunch that day, the food looked great & reasonably priced. Decorated beautifully & toilets spotless

We booked a table for 8.30pm on Saturday and were advised that a party of 18 people was booked in at 8.00pm. We could not see why this should cause us a problem. We arrived early to enjoy a few pre-food drinks and walked in to a very busy bar. Unfortunately the maître de and barman have apparently left and... More

We had a table booked for 7.30 and walked into a very busy bar area. 2 unexpected parties had arrived for drinks. However the waitress was exceptional. We had all ordered and were all enjoying our starters within 40 minutes. We heard that 2 members of staff had let them down but the 3 remaining staff were excellent. Our main... More

Had a lovely meal here, the food was excellent, the monkfish exceptionally nice. The service was very good, and the staff very cheerful and helpful. The wine choice was very good and although the seating area was in the pub area itself it wasn't a problem it added to the atmosphere of the place. Highly recommend if you're in the... More

We ate here yesterday evening - 12 September 2015, and everything about our experience was faultless. Every element of the food was delicious; the environment is tastefully refurbished; the staff were delightful; and the ambience perfect for a lovely evening with friends. We were a party of 8, and all felt the same.

I could not thank the owner of this warm and very pleasant hotel enough, who saved the day (and night) on a recent emergency trip I had to make away from home, passing through Gisburn for an early appointment the following morning, needing a last minute late night stop over, a couple of weeks ago. She could not have been... More

Lovely little place, food was amazing, service was spot on! In my eyes you get what you pay for, although it wasn't cheap, I think it was priced perfectly for the quality of food! If you want cheap Im sure there are plenty of 241 places down the road that offer warmed up ready meals! We had a fab evening... More

Booked a table for 5 for a family meal, although booked upfront table only set for 4 and had to as for cutlery when my meal arrived. Food was very good but the pace was a long way off what it needs to be and prices were on the expensive side compared to equivalent restaurants locally. The environment and the... More

Thank you for taking the time to review, we appreciate feedback. When your booking was taken for 7-30 pm we were advised there would be a disabled person so we moved tables to accommodate a wheelchair, we also do not place cutlery as customer have sometimes brought their own food and utensils dependant on the persons disability. On your arrival... More

If the White Bull had been as it was last week, I might have stayed! Welcoming staff and excellent accomodation. The menue was distinctive and special. Worth a visit if only for the food, the style and presentation. The table service outstanding. Was asked if I wanted my brandy served "hot or cold". Most knowledgable waiter A memorable return to...
