Booked a table for 5 for a family meal, although booked upfront table only set for 4 and had to as for cutlery when my meal arrived. Food was very good but the pace was a long way off what it needs to be and prices were on the expensive side compared to equivalent restaurants locally. The environment and the... More

Thank you for taking the time to review, we appreciate feedback. When your booking was taken for 7-30 pm we were advised there would be a disabled person so we moved tables to accommodate a wheelchair, we also do not place cutlery as customer have sometimes brought their own food and utensils dependant on the persons disability. On your arrival... More

If the White Bull had been as it was last week, I might have stayed! Welcoming staff and excellent accomodation. The menue was distinctive and special. Worth a visit if only for the food, the style and presentation. The table service outstanding. Was asked if I wanted my brandy served "hot or cold". Most knowledgable waiter A memorable return to... Stayed in the hotel and had the most wonderful food, the menu was very interesting, and the puddings were the best that I have had. Blueberry cheesake - heaven... Been several times now and the menue changes often, they use local produce and taste divine..

My friend and I stayed at the White Bull for 3 nights recently. The room was a separate room away with a front door that is accessed by stone steps. The property has obviously recently undergone refurbishment and it has been completed in keeping with the area. The accommodation was basic and quite small but it was clean and beautifully... More

So nice to see an old pub given a 'makeover' that is a successful one! No problems with the service, friendly waiting staff that checked everything was ok several times...earlier reviews mention the front of house guy, he did his job perfectly well as far as we were concerned. Two of us had the 'Posh Sausage Rolls' - definitely worth... More

Fabulous food - the beef fillet is to die for despite being a bit pricey (well worth splashing out though). The service was great and we were treated like special guests. Beautiful building in a wonderful setting. Definitely will be back and might even stay :-)

The White Bull never fails with excellent food from a varied menu, prompt service and a great environment. We have visited several times for lunch and evening meals since the Inn was sympathetically refurbished: the White Bull offers amazing fine dining and a warm welcome. Chef Simon offers a superb menu. We love the place and are fast becoming regular... More

We were booked into the Stirk house down the road on the last night of a driving holiday and were disappointed with what the hotel had to offer so decided to look in the village. This turned out to be a really good call as we came upon this gem of a place. Although we had not booked and despite... More

Having chosen the White Bull only after walking into another local put to find the main menu not on, and only a choice of about 6 mains, no starters and generally disappointing service we were not disappointe with our second choice. Prices which reflected the quality of the food. Posh sausage roll is a must, truly scrumptious comfort food. Mains... More
