Visited for Sunday lunch with my wife. Seated by the front door suffering a cold blast of air each time it opened. Asked to be moved which was met with a look of panic by the waiter. Felt uncomfortable to have asked but moved table - unfortunately a very wobbly one and crammed too close to other tables. Ordered food... More

Our first visit since reopening and we weren't disappointed . The food was delicious, lovely atmosphere, attentive service, contemporary smart decor with a relaxed feel. We each had 3 courses and every dish was faultless. (The ravioli was particularly good)! Reasonably priced food and drinks and friendly staff and we will definately be returning.

Today was our first visit to the White Bull but definitely not the last. As a party of nine including two children and 3 birthday celebrants, the private dining room was perfect for us. The food was fabulous. My aunt wanted to take the chef home with her! Her and my dad-in-law had the beef and I think it was... More

Just returned from a very pleasant evening at the white bull. From the instant we arrived the serving staff were very attentive. The decor was lovely. We had starters and main courses all of which were delicious and beautifully presented, was great to see the head chef visiting each table asking if they had enjoyed their evenings!! We would happily... More

After many poor meals at pubs/restaurants recently lunch here was an absolute delight. Service top notch - attentive staff who always kept an eye on the table. Food was just fabulous - all three courses. Lovely inside - fire lit and an overall nice feel to the place. Puts other places nearby to shame! Will be back!

Called in for a drink after a day out. Lovely selection of wine and beer ( reasonable in price, do other people know how much pubs pay for alcohol? ) Decided to dine, rabbit was sensational. Sausage roll scrumptious. Fire was roaring. Relaxed atmosphere. Delicious food. Beautiful pub. Susan was definitely a wonderful hostess. And Simon in the kitchen doing... More

Called in for a drink after recent renovations ... The pub is set out permanently for diners in the most ... As we didn't want to disturb the place settings we had to sit out of the way while the coal /log fire was lit for diners.... Not hospitable just for a casual meeting drink ... And people encouraged to... More

Absolutely amazing burger!! The table next to us ordered Sunday Roast which also looked exquisite!! The decor was very modern & owner even took us on a tour of the rest of the building - very much looking forward to the accommodation side opening in a few months so we can take full advantage of their extensive wine collection!! :-)

Overpriced. No heating on, sat shivering whilat waiting for our drinks to arrive...which took 10 minutes after us ordering. Meal arrived (which was nice - saddle of beef) and it was cold. Unorganised staff Nicky Minaj blasting out on a tinny sound system....not exactly relaxing! Could be a really nice set up but hugely disappointed and won't be rushing back... More
