We ate here twice whilst staying in Yorkshire dales, the food is very reasonably priced and served really well. we had the burger and also tried the macaroni cheese dish, and the cheesecake for dessert although this sounds like pub grub it is served like restaurant food to a high standard so we were quite amazed how great this place... I have never tasted such a fantastic array of food and so very well made and presented. My partner and I dined with some friends on Valentine's evening. We had the 5 course meal which was absolute value for money and our friends stated that they had never tasted lamb like this before it was truly delicious I cannot wait... More

Valentine's day evening out, fantastic food, relaxed ambience & lovely staff, Maitre de is knowledgeable, personable & very professional. Certainly a winning formula. We have been here several times & we have always enjoyed the experience. We wil be back soon.

We were looking forward to trying the White Bull after initial reviews. We were very disappointed with the lunch. The menu is very limited and really quite expensive. The haddock was nice but small, but the burger was quite tasteless. The atmosphere was cold (as was the temperature). Staff serving were pleasant, but there did seem to be an uncomfortable... More

We enjoyed a lovely meal and the food was excellent the pub was almost empty just us and a small group of people enjoying a drink. We were both shocked and dismayed to witness a row break out between the host of the pub and the small group who were completely astounded by the hosts behaviour the result of which... More

But we were very disappointed. Decor is rather cold and austere. Definitely no warm glow in the waiting area. No obvious cloakroom so a waiter had to take coats. Shown to table and shown the menu. Not an extensive choice, and vegetarians barely catered for. The starters take a long time to come because of the Sausage roll taking so... More

I've taken to not writing reviews if we have a bad experience. However, the complete failure to provide any food at all has prompted me to review to warn anyone considering dining here. We ordered two starters and two mains from the Sunday menu and waited an hour to be eventually told by a suited Scottish chap who I assume... More

Visited for Sunday lunch with my wife. Seated by the front door suffering a cold blast of air each time it opened. Asked to be moved which was met with a look of panic by the waiter. Felt uncomfortable to have asked but moved table - unfortunately a very wobbly one and crammed too close to other tables. Ordered food... More
