The Inn is in a nice setting next to the river in amongst the fells. Food is exelllent with nice varied dishes. The rooms are comfortable although beware, room no.2 only has a half bath, a sort of quirky deep tub with a seat in built. Not as relaxing as a full bath. We actually held our wedding ceremony and reception at the hotel, in the Orangery....What an amazing experience! This was our third trip to the Inn, and our second overnight stay. For once an establishment that gets everything just right with seemingly no effort. (Although I'm sure a great deal goes in behind the scenes) There is a real mix of people in the bar with outfits ranging from Barbour’s and muddy Labradours to cocktail dresses and suits. This is a perfect hotel for a short break. It is warm, welcoming, comfortable, a bit quirky (but is a really good way), the food is outstanding, the location perfect ...
