Just got back from staying here as we were going to a gig at the Grand. Ideal as it's just around the corner !! Was really impressed with the standard of our room. Had a fantastic, delicious breakfast this morning, served by a lovely member of staff. We tried the 3 course lunch yesterday. Superb home cooking at a fantastic... More

We stayed one night at the hotel which was recommended by friends. Easy to find with a convenient car park. We had a room overlooking the street, obviously a family room. Everything you could possibly imagine was there for us, down to a cafetiere with real coffee beans. Lovely comfortable bed and furniture. Two drawbacks, the first being that the... More

This was a real surprise, a really attractive place, quiet but well appointed. The hotel was really very good.mid - week Feb really quiet but still had a great meal with good friendly service, also very very good breakfast. So this was another discovery off the beaten track , away from the usual Holiday inns Premier etc. This was one... More

We arrived earlier than check in and they were accommodating to have our room ready for us at midday so we could freshen up before attending a wedding that afternoon. The room was suitable for my husband myself and our 2 year old though a little cosy. Breakfast was lovely with plenty of choice and accommodating to our 2 year... More

Visited with 4 friends for our monthly meet up for lunch. We have been to this place a few times but quite some time ago and it was always excellent,we always had to book it was so busy! This visit was a totally different story. The place was almost empty, the restaurant was not inviting at all, dated and dismal.... More

The hotel should not really advertise WIFI when they know WIFI does not reach the top floor. I went down to lobby to connect to Interned but was asked to leave at 10pm as they were locking the lobby. I ended up sitting on the stairs to be able to access Internet. Such a shame and dissapointment! I hope i... More

We stayed for a night at this hotel on the 17th December. Room was nice and comfortable if a little dated. We had the evening meal and whilst the food was very good, customer care was poor. Starter was fine but then the waiter brought the wrong meal for myself ( beef instead of fish). He apologised and took it... More

We'd stayed recently for a wedding nearby. The room was clean with the basic amenities. Unfortunately there were a few issues that let the hotel down: 1. The shower didn't work. Both my partner and I tried with no success to get the shower to work. This was, as you can imagine, really annoying, especially after a long day and... More

We have been any times for a Boxing Day meal and have enjoyed it. This time, however, we were disappointed. There were no table cloths on the tables, apart from the christmas tree you would not have known it was the festive season as a few pieces of tinsel didn't really create the expected atmosphere and there was no turkey... This was my second visit to the hotel and I'll certainly be back. Great welcome from the time I arrived. The rooms are nice, clean and spacious. The car park at the rear is easily accessible and well looked after. The food id lovely and the menu is changed often. Breakfast haddock and poached eggs are cooked nicer than anywhere... More
