Good size room, clean, nicely decorated. Large bathroom, some noise from ageing plumbing but didn't affect stay. Staff were without a doubt the most helpful and friendly we have had the pleasure to meet for a long time. Once past the unfortunate entrance doors a pleasant hotel, with free parking to the rear. Breakfast cooked to order and even my... More

We stayed a couple of nights with two elderly relatives. Our rooms were large and comfortable and the hotel is situated in a very convenient location. We ate at the hotel both nights and were very impressed by the meals, as were the other diners in the busy dining room. Breakfasts were also top notch. The owner/manager is very friendly... More

Myself and my daughters visited here on a Sunday for lunch and had the worst meal I have ever had. It said locally sourced food and what we received was frozen food warmed up in a watery sauce. My daughter had pasta that was undercooked in the same sauce i had with my fish. My Fish Rendezvous was so chewy... More

We spent one night here as we were at a family wedding nearby. It's the loveliest, friendly place. The owner/Manager couldn't have been friendlier or more helpful - from taxis to umbrellas to a warm welcome. Our room was large, clean, with an iron, trouser press, and lovely organic toiletries in a spacious bathroom. The breakfast menu had an extensive... More

My wife and I stayed at the hotel for three nights in July 2013. Whilst my wife attended a 3 day training course I worked from the hotel room for most of our visit. The hotel owner and his team could not have been more helpful and friendly. They made us feel really welcome. The hotel is ideally located within... More

We spent three nights here for a summer break. The Hotel is clean and well run, and as we had booked ahead and paid, were given our room key straight away. We were on the top floor and I hadn't expected the two flights of stairs we had to negotiate with a heavy case, as there isn't a lift. The... More

We just had one night in Clitheroe after a very long flight. Old Post has a traditional facade but is modern and bright inside. Warm welcome, cosy, spacious room up a few flights of stairs and comfortable bedding. Perfect after hours of flying to reach Manchester. Restaurant downstairs shares with the bar - bright tablecloths, cosy. Breakfast is served in... More
